Here is the news which you have been waiting so long knocking at your door. And here is the sentence which you always dreamt that a doctor repeats to you: "Congratulation, you are pregnant" to convey this news to your beloved husband so that you can share joy together and share the preparation to welcome the new guest.

It is your excessive joy and happiness that you always dreamt of since you were young. You were stumble while carrying your little doll, teaching it innocently to call you "mummy." You used to hug it softly and put it to sleep in your bosom so that you can give it comfort with your kindness.

The dream became true and now you are waiting for days to pass quickly. Your life will soon be changed to another color and taste and your times will be full of joy and responsibility which you prefer.

What did you prepare for this great responsibility?

You are all responsible:

The Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care. The Imam (i.e. ruler) is the guardian of his subjects and is responsible for them and a man is the guardian of his family and is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it. A servant is the guardian of his master's belongings and is responsible for them. All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care."

Let it be known that you are responsible before Allah for the coming baby. So, do not make your happiness overcome your responsibility which you should prepare for so that you can practice it in the first moment of seeing your baby.

Responsibility begins from pregnancy:

Each pregnant mother may think they bear a delayed responsibility, but this is not true. Your responsibility toward your baby begins when it is in your womb, but how is that?

It should be by taking care of its health through paying frequent visits to doctors and checking its growth month after another. Moreover, you should pay attention to the quality of your food by choosing healthy food as prescribed by doctors. Some young wives may refuse to eat some foods which are very important in forming the embryo and contribute to the safety of its growth.

You should stay away from everything that may trouble or bother your psychology because doctors confirmed that fetus may be affected badly with the psychological condition of the mother, whether good or bad. If mothers undergo some psychological disturbances, they should prepare themselves for a condition that is psychological and healthy stable so that they can have beautiful and healthy babies.

Your culture:

Pay more attention to your culture because the next baby waits for a mother who has a treasure of wisdom, awareness, and open mind who can teach it and be its reference. When it asks her, she will answer and when it asks for her opinion, she advises. When it is troubled by a problem, it finds there the opinion it needs and the solution which it hopes for.

So, learn all these skills for its sake, have the equipments, and search for the means and possibilities that qualify you for this responsibility. Give it the life it deserves:

Your coming baby expects that you provide it with the happy life that depends on understanding and harmony between you and its father. This responsibility falls mainly on you in preparing the suitable conditions to rear a psychologically healthy baby to grow up with balanced thought, thinking mind, and kind heart.

If you want it to be kind to you and to its father when it grows up, you have to be kind to it first.
