Friendship and the love of oneself

I have formed a nice idea about friendship -since my childhood- that a friend should be an aid to his friend.

They should be like one soul and their relationship would be based on transparency and honesty with each other, even if friendship is penetrated by some difficulties.

Man is composed of accumulated mistakes and each one of them is full of defects, so a sincere friend should endure his friend at all times and crises to come up with one result which is the true love that is called "love for the sake of Allah." Friendship in this meaning has become rare in a time where ethical love has decreased; that love which does not seek a benefit, no matter how important that person is!

True friendship is moving away from loving oneself and bad human inclination.

Imam Shafi'i said:
Goodbye for the world if it does not have a truthful sincere friend who is just We shall become advanced if we seek excuses for others and tolerate among us, for the friend who does not love good for his brother is not a true friend.

Self-denial between friends is a high value that surpasses every defect. What if we likened friendship with ripe flowers, which bloom every morning and the drops of dew come down on them!

This scene may be very good, and certainly this expression is not figuratively, but this is true friendship!
