A new travel provider has launched in the UK, specializing in Halal Friendly Travel to the Muslim holidaymaker. Is the halal boom redefining the holiday experience for Muslim travelers? In short, yes it is, with an growing requirement for Islamic products and Halal experiences, travel is next on the halal industry's radar of emerging services.

Halal holidays lies in the relatively unexplored area of ethical travel, and earlier this year saw the launch of Serendipity Tailormade, who aims to provide halal holidays to everyday destinations. With the halal market ranging from finance to dating, travel is next on the list to be part of the halal boom.

Travelling to a non-Muslim country has, in the past, provided barriers to many Muslim travelers, whether it is finding halal food, avoiding non-Islamic activities or sourcing private facilities. It is not easy for a Muslim to laze on an idyllic beach in Thailand whilst maintaining their modesty, or to visit China and Vietnam whilst avoiding pork products in restaurants. The research and local knowledge of destinations can often feel long-winded and daunting, so many Muslims prefer to travel to a Muslim country.

Serendipity Tailormade designs bespoke holidays catering to the Muslim traveller, so that they can enjoy new cultural and travel experiences whilst preserving their beliefs. Founder and Director Nabeel Shariff, with over ten years’ experience in the travel industry states “The halal market is an affluent, progressive and engaging audience. The availability of halal goods has grown significantly in the past decade, so much so that it has made travel much easier for Muslims. We’re here to provide a nudge in the right direction and share our travel knowledge, enabling Muslim travelers to experience the many cultural destinations on offer.”

For travelers looking to experience halal Peking duck in Beijing, or relax at a halal conscious lodge in the Amazon, Serendipity Tailormade are bringing travel products to the Muslim market in a fashion not seen before. With an array of solutions from private villas to guided halal tours, the options for the Muslim traveler will only grow in years to come.
