AN EXHIBITION will be held to give people the chance to find out more about Islam.

Organisers of Exhibition Islam say it is the first time such an event has been held in Stoke-on-Trent.

They hope it will help build better community relations, as well as work towards generating a better understanding of the religion.

Project co-ordinator Mohammed Farak said: "It will be an interactive, eye-catching exhibition which will allow our visitors to learn about Islam, the religion and its history, in a distinctive and professional museum-style exhibition which will be a fantastic insight into the Islamic religion."

The exhibition will be held at Equality House Community Centre, in Raymond Street, Hanley, for four days from Thursday, June 28.

It is free to enter and the exhibition will be open between 10am and 6pm each day.
