Question

As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!).

Dear Muslim brothers, I am 19 years old and about to reach twenty. My problem is my moustache and beard do not grow, taking into consideration that pubic hair, (thigh and legs) had grown in general from under the navel downwards and some hair grew in the chest, but I do not know whether the facial hair would grow or not? The problem is that matter caused me a lot of problems before my colleagues. My question is: does the facial hair grow in nineteenth or twenties?

P.S. There is some hair in the moustache but it is few which means: unperceivable, thank you.

Answer

As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!).

Dear honorable brother, Welcome to Alukah Network and thank you for your trust.

I understand your problem and appreciate your suffering, but I am not a dermatologist.

From my experience as a doctor, I know that the grow of hair in some parts of the body without the other is a sign of the soundness of glands and hormones. A moustache or a beard may be delayed for someone in your age but soon the problem will be over within few years. In fact, I do not know whether there are some products in the market help in growing your hair, but what I know for sure is nineteen is still early to worry about this problem which will end soon (by the will of Allah) with age.

Accept my regards and welcome in Alukah Network
