Your freedom and our freedom

The Western leaderships came out to justify the insults which some low people directed to our beloved Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), the mercy that was gifted to the entire world and the illuminating lamp. They claimed that these insults are part of the freedom of speech, so I took upon myself to reveal in this article the falsity of this alleged freedom because the one who insults the leader of the children of Adam is either ignorant or hateful.

Your alleged freedom is the cause of burning the Glorious book of Muhammad (the Qur'an). Bernard Shaw is the one who witnessed truly for the Prophet (peace be upon him) and described the Prophet (peace be upon him) as the rescuer of mankind: "The clergymen in the middle ages intentionally portrayed Islam in the darkest colors out of ignorance and reprehensible intolerance. In fact, they exaggerated in hating Prophet Muhammad and his religion and counted him an adversary of Christ. As for me, I see Muhammad as the savior of humanity and I believe that a man like him could have taken over the world's leadership, solved the world's problems, and restored world peace and happiness, which are most needed in our today's world."

Moreover, your alleged freedom is embodied in breaking free pens, cutting tongues, and limiting freedom for those who dare to speak about the Holocaust; either doubting or demanding an investigation to writers as happened with the French writer Garaudy. So, you have enacted laws to confine freedoms such as anti-Semitism which made the Jews superior even above the divine entity; God forbid! Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allâh is that (believer) who has At-Taqwâ [i.e., he is one of the Muttaqûn (the pious]. Verily, Allâh is All-Knowing, Well-Acquainted (with all things)."

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: "O people, your Lord is one and your father is one [Adam], so there is no preference to an Arab over a non-Arab or vice-versa and no preference for a black over a white and vice-versa except with piety."

Your freedom allows low people such as Salman Rushdie and others to assault and insult the sanctities of others and hurt the feelings of more than one billion Muslims all over the world.

Allah commanded us to extract our freedom from the following Ayah: "And insult not those whom they (disbelievers) worship besides Allâh, lest they insult Allâh wrongfully without knowledge. Thus We have made fair-seeming to each people its own doings; then to their Lord is their return and He shall then inform them of all that they used to do." This is our freedom.

So, it is not permissible for any Muslim to insult your crosses or your churches or even do anything of the like; this is our freedom.

Your freedom enslaved women and did not give them their freedom as you claim; it is the freedom which has put women in glass cages naked as born so that men could look at them and enjoy their bodies for the one who pays more. Our freedom honored women whether a wife, a mother, or a daughter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pay more attention to women and treat them kindly."

He also said: "The best among you is the one who treats his family well."

Moreover, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Treat women kindly because they are like captives in your hands; you do not owe anything else from them except if they are guilty of open indecency ..."

No legislation gave women their rights and treated them justly as Islam did: As a wife, it gave them the right of inheritance, their financial independence, the right to choose a husband, and the right of separation from her husband.

Unlike your legislation which established an eternal relationship between the spouses, so the relationship does not end except by the death of one of them or the adultery of the wife; hence, men resorted to girlfriends to have sex outside marriage.

Establishing the ties of kind treatment with the mother is obligatory on every Muslim even if she is a non-Muslim. Asma', the daughter of Abu Bakr, (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: "My mother came to me during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and she was a pagan. I said to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) (seeking his verdict), My mother has come to me and she desires to receive a reward from me, shall I keep good relations with her? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Yes, keep good relation with her. "

Allah the Almighty says: "And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship. And she brings him forth with hardship."

He also says: "And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years - give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is the final destination. * But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance and in obedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do."

Islam, that true religion, urged Muslims to take care of children, especially girls, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave glad tidings to those who bring up their daughters properly with entering Paradise; the greatest Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever is destined with the responsibility of (bringing up) daughters, and he accords benevolent treatment towards them, they would be protection for him against hellfire. "

He also said: "If someone has three daughters and observes patience with them, feeds them, waters them, and clothes them from his wealth, they will be a shield against the Fire for him."

Your freedom violates the human rights of the captives, men and women, and that is clearly seen in your press, on your magazines, and on your satellite channels because you are not shy to declare that because you believe this is humiliating for Islam and Muslims, but it is rather a demonstration to your own secrets and defects as happened in Abu Ghraib prison and as it is happening in Guantánamo prison; it is a stigma on humanity as a whole.

Our liberty and our true religion say that we should treat prisoners kindly, Allah Almighty says: "They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. * And they give food, in spite of their love for it ( or for the love of Him), to the Miskîn (the needy), the orphan, and the captive * (Saying): We feed you seeking Allâh's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you."

Abu `Aziz ibn `Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that his brother Mus`ab ibn `Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was captured on the Day of Badr Battle, thereupon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Be kind to captives." My guards were a group of the Ansar (the Supporters), so when it is the time of launch or dinner, they would eat fresh dates and feed me barely because of the recommendation of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Your freedom kills women, old people, and children without guilt or sin, and shells the houses of Allah, however, our freedom entails defending ourselves of your assaults. Moreover, the Prophet (peace be upon him) recommended the Mujahideen not to kill the mentioned kinds of people. Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Go in Allah's name, trusting in Allah, and adhering to the religion of Allah's Messenger. Do not kill a decrepit old man, a young infant, a child, or a woman; do not be dishonest about booty, but collect your spoils, do right and act well, for Allah loves those who do well."

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent his army, he would say to it: Go out with the name of Allah to fight in the cause of Allah those who disbelieve in Allah. Do not betray, do not exaggerate, do not mutilate, and do not kill children nor the worshippers in abbeys."

Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: During some of the Ghazawat (the battles) of the Prophet (peace be upon him) a woman was found killed. Thereupon, Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) forbade the killing of women and children. Ibn Ka`b ibn Malik narrated on the authority of his uncle that the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent to Ibn Abu Al Haqiq in Khaybar forbidding him from killing women and children."

Your freedom killed thousands of Muslims in the Courts of Inquisition when you took over Andalusia and forced many Muslims and even Jews to migrate to the Maghreb to escape your power and tyranny where you tried to force Muslims and even Jews on Christianizing unlike what happened in the Islamic opening for these countries. Islam gave non-Muslims the freedom of belief because Allah commanded us to do so, where He says: "There is no compulsion in religion." "And say: The truth is from your Lord. Then whosoever wills, let him believe; and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve." The freedom of belief is one of high Islamic principles from which the tribute was taken, and you are attacking Islam because of it, where it was ordained so that a non-Muslims would not defend a creed they do not believe in, and in return they shall be protected under the Muslim rule.

Your freedom starves Muslims all over the world, as happening in Palestine, Somalia, Darfur, and other Muslim countries, but rather tries to Christianize Muslims in Africa. So, they spend billions for that purpose for a handful of food or drink, but what you do not know is a Muslim does not sell his religion for anything in the world, no matter how difficult conditions are, because of Allah's Saying: "Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell."

Our freedom is embodied in the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "A Muslim shall not become a true believer when he eats to the full while his neighbor is hungry." He also said: "He did not believe in me, he who sleeps while his adjacent neighbor is hungry and he knows that."

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Worship Allâh and join none with Him (in worship); and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masâkîn (the needy), the neighbor who is near of kin, the neighbor who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allâh does not like such as are proud and boastful."

"The companion by your side" includes Jews and Christians as reported by Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abu Hatim.

As you can see, our religion commanded us to practice kindness to non-Muslim neighbors, and a Muslim becomes unbeliever of what has been revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he does not believe in that.

Your freedom allows you to ridicule Prophets and Messengers of Allah (peace be upon them), even Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), the word of Allah that He blew in virgin Mary.

Our freedom prohibits us to make a distinction between the Prophets and Messengers of Allah because we have to believe in all Prophets and Messengers. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "The Messenger (Muhammad peace be upon him) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say): We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers - and they say: We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all). "

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Say (O Muhammad peace be upon him): We believe in Allâh and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down to Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ismâ'îl (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac ), Ya'qûb (Jacob) and Al-Asbât [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)] and what was given to Mûsâ (Moses), 'Isâ (Jesus) and the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to Him (Allâh) we have submitted (in Islâm)."

That is your freedom and this is our freedom, so you have your freedom and we have our freedom!
