1500 men were able to drink and perform ablution out of a small pot of water:

Salim bin Abi Aj Jad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said, “The people became very thirsty on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty). A small pot containing some water was in front of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and when he had finished the ablution, the people rushed towards him. He asked, ‘What is wrong with you?’ They replied, ‘We have no water either for performing ablution or for drinking except what is present in front of you.’ So he placed his hand in that pot and the water started flowing among his fingers like springs. We all drank and performed ablution (from it). I asked Jabir, “How many were you?” he replied, “Even if we had been one-hundred-thousand, it would have been sufficient for us, but we were fifteen-hundred.” (Reported by Bukhari Vol.4 verse 776)

Two bags of water became sufficient for people to drink and to water their animals:

Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Once we were traveling with the Prophet…Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) proceeded on and the people complained to him of thirst. Thereupon he got down and called a person (the narrator ‘Auf added that Abu Raja’ had named him but he had forgotten) and ‘Ali, and ordered them to go and bring water. So they went in search of water and met a woman who was sitting on her camel between two bags of water. They asked, “Where can we find water?” She replied, “I was there (at the place of water) this hour yesterday and my people are behind me.” They requested her to accompany them. She asked, “Where?” They said, “To Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him).” She said, “Do you mean the man who is called the Sabi, (with a new religion)?” They replied, “Yes, the same person. So come along.” They brought her to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and narrated the whole story. He said, “Help her to dismount.” The Prophet (Peace be upon him) asked for a pot, then he opened the mouths of the bags and poured some water into the pot. Then he closed the big openings of the bags and opened the small ones and the people were called upon to drink and water their animals. So they all watered their animals and they (too) all quenched their thirst and also gave water to others and last of all, the Prophet (Peace be upon him) gave a pot full of water to the person who was junub (in a state of impurity) and told him to pour it over his body. The woman was standing and watching all that they were doing with her water. By Allah, when her water bags were returned they looked like as if they were more full (of water) than they had been before (Miracle of Allah’s Messenger), Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) ordered us to collect something for her; so dates, flour and Sawiq were collected which amounted to a good meal that was put in a piece of cloth. She was helped to ride on her camel and that cloth full of foodstuff was also placed in front of her and then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said to her, “We have not taken your water but Allah has given water to us.” She returned home late. Her relatives asked her: “O so and so what has delayed you?” She said, “A strange thing! Two men met me and took me to the man who is called the Sabi’ and he did such and such a thing. By Allah, he is either the greatest magician between this and this (gesturing with her index and middle fingers raising them towards the sky indicating the heaven and the earth) or he is Allah’s true Messenger.”

Afterwards the Muslims used to attack the pagans around her abode but never touched her village. One day she said to her people, “I think that these people leave you purposely. Have you got any inclination to Islam?” They obeyed her and all of them embraced Islam. (Reported by Bukhari Vol.1 verse 340)

Rising of water in the well:

Al Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We were one-thousand-and-four-hundred persons on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty), and (at) Al-Hudaibiya (there) was a well. We drew out its water not leaving even a single drop. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) sat at the edge of the well and asked for some water with which he rinsed his mouth and then he threw it out into the well. We stayed for a short while and then drew water from the well and quenched our thirst, and even our riding animals drank water to their satisfaction. (Reported by Bukhari Vol.4 verse 777)

Increasing amount of dates produced:

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: My father had died in debt. So I came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and said, “My father (died) leaving unpaid debts, and I have nothing except the yield of his date palms; and their yield for many years will not cover his debts. So please come with me, so that the creditors may not misbehave with me.” The Prophet (Peace be upon him) went round one of the heaps of dates and invoked (Allah), and then did the same with another heap and sat on it and said, “Measure (for them).” He paid them their rights and what remained was as much as had been paid to them. (Reported by Bukhari Vol.4 verse 780)

The earth throwing out the dead body of a Christian liar:

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat-al-Baqara and Al-Imran, and he used to write (the revelations) for the Prophet (Peace be upon him). Later on he returned to Christianity again and he used to say: “Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him.” Then Allah caused him to die, and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is the act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and took his body out of it because he had run away from them.” They again dug the grave deeply for him, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, “This is an act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them.” They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. So they believed that what had befallen him was not done by human beings and had to leave him thrown (on the ground). (Reported by Bukhari Vol.4 verse 814)

Ascension to Heaven:

Abu Dhar Allah’s (may Allah be please with him) narrated that Messenger (Peace be upon him) said, “While I was at Makkah the roof of my house was opened and Gabriel descended, opened my chest, and washed it with Zam-zam water. Then he brought a golden tray full of wisdom and faith and having poured its contents into my chest, he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest heaven, when I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel said to the gatekeeper of the heaven, ‘Open (the gate).’  The gatekeeper asked, ‘Who is it?’ Gabriel answered: ‘Gabriel.’ He asked, ‘Is there anyone with you?’ Gabriel replied, ‘Yes, Muhammad is with me.’ He asked, ‘Has he been called?’ Gabriel said, ‘Yes.’ So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked toward his left he wept. Then he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet (Peace be upon him) and pious son.’ I asked Gabriel, ‘Who is he?’ He replied, ‘He is Adam and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he weeps….Then Gabriel took me till we reached Sidrat-il-Muntaha (Lote tree of the utmost boundary) which was shrouded in colors, indescribable. Then I was admitted into Paradise where I found small (tents or) walls (made) of pearls and its earth was of musk.” (Reported by Bukhari, Vol. 1, Hadeeth 345)

All the above miracles prove that behind Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was Allah the Almighty.  No poor, orphan and unlettered man such as the Prophet (Peace be upon him) could ever perform miracles without the help of Allah the All-Knowing, All-Wise God of mankind.  The miracles serve as signs and blessings from Allah the Most Merciful to disbelievers for them to reflect and believe in His Messenger (Peace be upon him) so that they will receive guidance and mercy.   Those who still doubt the above miracles as they have not actually witnessed them, those who seek for concrete proofs of the Prophet’s miracles then they are invited to respond to the first divine revelation – that is to read.  Non-Muslims need to read the Qur’an and the Sunnah (as written in the authentic Ahadeeth) as these are the concrete and living miracles of Allah’s Universal Messenger to mankind.
