Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Invite (mankind, O Muhammad peace be upon him) to the Way of your Lord (i.e., Islâm) with wisdom (i.e., with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better." [Surat An-Nahl: 125].

1- The call to Allah should be done by wisdom according to the conditions of people, their understanding, and their acceptance.

The following are parts of wisdom: Knowledge, forbearance, kindness, gentleness, and patience on that.

2- Using good preaching by enjoining goodness and forbidding evil that is correlated by exhortation, intimidation, promise, and threat.

3- Arguing in the best manner: They are the methods which are proper for responding whether by reason, quoting, language, and custom.

Stages of changing evil

1- Evil must be removed by hand if a person is capable of doing so.

2- Then by tongue.

3- Then by heart which is the weakest form of faith. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith." [Reported by Muslim].

2- "Allah is at the back of a servant so long as the servant is at the back of his brother." [Reported by Muslim].

3- "A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other." The Prophet (peace be upon him) then clasped his hands with the fingers interlaced (while saying that)." [Reported by Al Bukhari and Muslim].

4- "He who calls others to follow the Right Guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account." [Reported by Muslim].

5- "By Allah! If a single person embraces Islam at your hands (i.e. through you), that will be better for you than the red camels." [Reported by Al Bukhari and Muslim].

Of the benefits of the call:

1- Fulfilling one's duty.

2- Setting the proof against people.

3- Freeing oneself from responsibility.

4- Disclaimer.

5- Gaining great reward.

6- Submitting excuses to Allah for fulfilling the duty and perhaps people would respond and fear Him.

7- Saving oneself from torment. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "So when they forgot the remindings that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil." [Surat Al A`raf: 165].

May Allah grant us success, and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad.[1]
