Sacrificial animals which are obligatory specified is eaten:

However, it may be said: If the sacrificial animal is obligatory, it cannot be eaten unlike the case of voluntary sacrifice. We say that the sacrificial animals of vows are also controversial, but obligatory sacrificial animals are eaten according to the consensus because the giver of sacrifice offers it to Allah at His House. Therefore, scholars differed about the obligation of distributing its meat in the Sacred House itself. I, myself, call it obligatory upon a pilgrim to distribute his sacrificial animal in the Sacred House unlike other meat to show the benefit of calling it "an offering to the Ka`bah.".[1]

Sacrificial animals which have no upper teeth are permissible:

As for Sacrificial animals which have no upper teeth are permissible to be offered according to the consensus.[2]

Laying the sacrificial animal on its left side:

Laying the sacrificial animal on its left side is easier to the animal and easier to the slaughterer. Moreover, it is the Sunnah which the Prophet (peace be upon him) did and Muslims did likewise thereafter.[3]
