Invocation cures the sick:

Microsoft site on the Internet confirmed that a group of scientists are doing researches about the impact of invocation in curing the sick, where most researches indicated the most patients are affected by their beliefs and practices and that religious patients get recovery faster than others or at least live with their sickness.

This made some scientists went deeper in their researches to find a way to help others in gaining recovery through invocation without their knowledge.

Recent studies that were conducted on heart-patients in Saint Luke hospital have proved that invocation affects the speed of those patients for real.

In this context, Dr. William Harris, the heart-diseases researcher, said: Invocations can be a helpful cure for medical treatment.

The study was published earlier on 25th of October, 1999 in the archive of the hospital then Dr. Harris and his team tested the health-development for about 1000 patients who have been recently affected by heart diseases in the hospital.

The experiment was conducted through dividing the patients randomly into two groups. Five religious Christians have volunteered to subject into the experiment and stayed for four weeks to use invocations daily to get speed recovery without any complications, whereas the second group did not use invocation.

For more sound procedures, volunteers stopped visiting hospital and did not know but the initials of the patients. As for the patients, they did not know that some people are invoking Allah for them. Harris proved -in his outputs through measuring the symptoms that hit the heart-patients due to chest pains, lunge troubles, pollution and death- that the case of the first group became 11% better than the second group.

Harris said: The matter needs good-conduct to redirect these ambiguous information as he described. He added: The matter needs more research, and whenever researches are conducted by different institutions, the more we reach the truth.

The study of Harris, like other studies, has been subject to criticism and support. Supporters say: Results are unobjective, consequently there not scientific results. Others say: Not telling the patients that there are some people who invoke Allah for them is considered an aggression against their religious freedom. On the other hand, the supporters of the study say that the study needs more research. The researcher said: Who is more entitled to ponder over these studies which increase faith and open the gates of cure for them in a time where diseases and health problems increase. Did not the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Nothing renders destiny but invocation. And destiny and invocation are quarrelling?

Therefore, we advise Muslims who are afflicted by many diseases to invoke Allah and make virtuous people invoke Allah for them. As for people who are not afflicted, they should ask Allah for good health as was reported in the Prophetic Hadiths.

So, raise your hand, cry, show your need and disability, and admit your weakness to gain the pleasure of Allah and that your distress is relieved.
