A Message to the Jewish and Christian people

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

From Abdul-Qadir ibn Muhammad Al Ghamdi, Lecturer of Islamic Theology at the Institute of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, to the People of the Scriptures:

Peace be upon those who follow the guidance; to proceed:

People of the Scriptures! Let us come to a word of agreement between ourselves. That we worship none other than Allah and take not one another as lords besides Allah.

People of the Scriptures! We have believed in the Qur'an, the Torah and the Bible. Our Lord and your Lord is One. None has the right to be worshipped other than Him. He has no son or partner and we worship none but Him.

People of the Scriptures! We have believed in Muhammad and Jesus and Moses, peace and blessings be upon them, and Muhammad (or Ahmad) (Alvarkulait) is the seal of the Prophets and the Messengers and the best of them. He was the one given glad tidings of  by Jesus, we believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a servant of Allah, His Messenger, and His Word to Mary, and His Spirit. As for Jesus being the Word of Allah, it means Allah created him with His Word, saying: “Be!” and he was.

Jesus himself was not the word ‘Be!’, rather ‘Be!’ is the Word of Allah not created, while Jesus was created. Likewise Jesus being the Spirit of Allah means he is a spirit created for Allah, as are all our spirits and souls; however the spirit of Jesus, the noble Prophet, was created without a father. Rather the Angel, the honourable Prophet Gabriel (peace be upon him) blew into the sleeve of the truthful virgin, Mary, reaching her womb and Allah said: “Be!” and Jesus was created. Thus, Jesus (peace be upon him) was no more than a servant, blessed by Allah and chosen as an example for the Children of Israel.

The first word uttered by Jesus in the cradle, as related in the Quran, was, “I am a servant of Allah, Who has given me the Book, made me a Prophet, made me blessed wherever I am, enjoined upon me the prayer and almsgiving so long as I live, as well as righteousness to my mother, and did not make me haughty and disobedient. So peace upon me the day I was born, the day I die and the day I shall be raised up alive.”

People of the Scriptures! Jesus (peace be upon him) did not claim to be the seal of the Prophets, but rather gave tidings of a Messenger after him, mentioning his name (Ahmad), and the call of the two of  them and all the Prophets is one; to worship Allah alone and not His creation. Jesus is an honourable Messenger and not the Son of Allah, High and above is Almighty Allah from such claims, and Jesus’ mother (Mary) is  the truthful virgin. Do you not see that they both eat food, showing their need for such necessities and thus not being free of all wants, and if they ate it would necessitate for them to answer the call of nature, and Allah is far above all such matters, for He is One, free from all wants, Eternal and Absolute, He begets not nor is He begotten and there is none comparable to Him.

People of the Scriptures! Be done with your statement that Allah is the third of three, leave it, is better for you, for indeed this is from the most abhorent statements of falsehood, not accepted by the intellect nor supported by the scriptures. In fact scientific facts negate the existence of more than one Creator, and more than one Allah for this universe, rather it was from what was added to the Holy Scripture and not what Jesus nor Moses came with, absolved are they from such statements. It was an innovation introduced by Paul to corrupt the religion of Jesus, the noble Prophet peace be upon him.

People of the Scripture! Come let us worship Allah alone, we will not worship Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and you should not worship Jesus, nor Moses, but rather we should obey them in what they ordered us with. Their call was one that we worship none but Allah alone, and we believe in all of them, and follow them, not worshipping Allah except as they ordained.

People of the Scriptures! It is not permitted to differentiate between the Prophets, rather we must believe in them all, and to disbelieve in one of them is to disbelieve in them all; for it is a denial of them, as they all came with the same message, so to disbelieve in one is to disbelieve in what they all came with.

People of the Scriptures! The call of Jesus, Moses and the other Prophets besides them was not universal, but rather specific for the Children of Israel. Every Prophet’s call was specific for his people except the call of Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him which was universal for all of jinn and mankind. He called you to believe in him and follow him, not differentiating between him and Jesus and Moses peace be upon them all. He, peace and blessings be upon him said, “By the One in whose Hands is the soul of Muhammad, none hears of me from this nation, nor the Jews or Christians, and dies without believing in what I was sent with, except that they become of the inhabitants of the Fire.” So believe in him and follow him, you will be guided. He does not invite you to disbelieve in Jesus, but rather invites you away from excessiveness in your religion. So if you obey him, you have responded to Jesus, Moses and Muhammad peace and blessings be upon them all, and did not lose any good. However if you disbelieve in him, and he was upon the truth, then you have lost all goodness. Allah id not send him except as a mercy for us and you, and the whole world from Jinn and Mankind. So do not forbid yourselves from his goodness and blessings. As stated by many of your historians that none left an affect on mankind like Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. Today people call to benefit from his politics, his manners, his justice, his life and all his statements and actions, and if one was to quote all the statements of your historians and others about him it would make this message too long.


People of the Scriptures! We have no way to prove the validity of the Prophethood of Jesus and Moses except through Muhammad and his book, the Qur'an. That is because additions have been introduced to the Torah and the Bible that were not originally there, things have been removed from them, things have been introduced that are not from the Words of Allah and not pleasing to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). There remains therein truth but it is mixed with other than it, and there is no way to distinguish between them except through the Qur'an. That is because Allah did not Himself guarantee the preservation of the Torah and the Bible, but rather appointed that responsibility to the rabbis and the monks who betrayed that trust and consumed the wealth of people falsely and prevented them from the Path of Allah. They made permissible what Allah had forbidden and forbade what Allah had permitted, and ordained in the religion that which was not authorised by Allah. The Most High however, Himself guaranteed the preservation of the Qur'an and the traditions of Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, as such there is no salvation for us or for you without them.

Do you not see that there is no copy of the Qur'an in the East or the West which has even a letter in it that differs from another copy, except for what Muhammed peace and blessings be upon him brought from the different recitals of it.

People of the Scriptures! Is it not sufficient proof of the distortion of the Torah to see what the Jews and those that believe in it from the Christians do, from injustice, abuse and the violation of rights? Also is not sufficient proof of the distortion of the Bible that today we find many differing Bibles not just one, and the one who reads it finds therein many contradictions? Any sane person will agree that some of what it contains cannot be said by Allah, the Most High and that it was not written until after the Messiah peace be upon him. Jesus did not come except with one gospel and the speech therein shows that it was revealed to Jesus alone. Is not the fact that much of the Bible and the Torah is not from Allah supported by its contradiction of proven scientific facts that are as clear as the sun in broad daylight, and were the cause for killing of scholars by the church, and the reason for aversion to religion and the emergence aheistic, anti-religious, secular doctrines? Thus allowing philosophers to dominate over religion and distance people away from it, not realising that the problem wasn’t religion but rather that which was introduced into it that was not from it. At the same time there is not one proven scientific fact that contradicts what is in the Qur'an other than theories that are unproven, whose opposition to what the Prophets came with shows their falsehood, or a lack of understanding of the intended meaning of the words of the Prophets.

People of the Scriptures! Indeed that which the people complain of from the many problems, suicides, diseases, bankruptcy, misery, corruption, injustice, oppression, tyranny and poverty is due to them being far away from the way of the Prophets. As for what afflicts those that oppose Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, from natural disasters such as fires, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and economic collapse is a clear proof showing them that they are not upon guidance and light. They should search for other than what they are upon, and that the reason for this is deviation from the way of the Prophets.

O People of the Scriptures! Do not you see that whenever the religion of Muhammad is fought it returns like a sturdy trunk, and despite the large number of its enemies fighting it, its followers continue to increase? Listen to the words of those that have accepted Islam from amongst you, and they are many, see what they have to say, and how they found that which they had been searching for. If the body of any one of them was to be cut off, still they would not leave Islam except for one that has not tasted the sweetness of faith or was forced under duress while his heart remained firm upon faith and as such is excused.

People of the Scriptures! If those who fight Islam were right, the efforts that they exerted and what they spent of wealth would have been sufficient to eliminate Islam from its roots. However the survival of Islam and the increase in its followers despite such hostility is clear proof that it is the truth and that it is supported by Allah. It is not due to the shortcomings of its enemies and oppressors, or a lack of ability on their part, for the Supporter of the truth suffices against tens and thousands of its enemies.

People of the Scriptures! Every doctrine contrary to what Muhammad brought will fail and perish whether it is the economy, politics, society or anything else. We see that socialism failed, capitalism is declaring its bankruptcy, these fragmented European societies have deadly diseases spreading within them, America’s death is approaching in Afghanistan, and Israel is nearing its divine appointment for it and the tradition of Allah that does not change with regards to them. If they become proud and haughty beyond the limits He will scatter, punish and annihilate them, and they have done so before and have returned to their ways and so Allah will return to them with what He has promised them and He breaks not His Promise.

Europe has been informed by its senior thinkers such as Oswald Spengler and Nikolai Berdiaev of its imminent end, and this end of the philosophical schools of thought have led to their disintegration, futility, suicide and chaos. Thus there is no escape except through faith in Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him and to follow his ordainments outwardly and inwardly.

People of the Scriptures! These unjust wars are from the your oppression, caused by what was introduced into the Sacred Scriptures and attributed to Moses and Jesus, peace be upon them, and it was said: “This is from Allah, while it was not from Allah, but rather from the fabrications of the rabbis, monks, and the devils among mankind and the jinn. Thus there is no attribution to this information, and there is no excuse in front of Allah for one who believes in it. It is not a proof of authority, nor can it prove its authenticity in narration or comply with the methods of historical documentation. As such there is no excuse for blindly following without consideration, especially with the manifestation of its falsehood and with everyone hearing of the mission of the Prophet, the Seal of Prophets, given glad tidings of by Jesus (peace be upon him). Similarly it is not correct for the Qur'an to be read except in an authentic translation agreed upon by the Muslims. Not translations fabricated by the hateful and unjust fabricators.

People of the Scriptures! This message is to you wishing the best for you in a befitting manner, as commanded by our Prophet to address you by. As for the fighting and the request for Allah’s Wrath that we call upon for those that oppose us is for the wrong-doers and combatants amongst you. Those who disbelieve in Allah's Messengers, fight His allies, prevent people from His way, oppress mankind without right and do not seek equity and justice. We do not force anyone to follow Islam; rather Jews and Christians had lived the rule of Islam enjoying its immense justice, mercy and fairness.

Thus truth has been distinguished from error, whoever rejects false deities and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. There is no argument for those who opposed or deviated from the truth, either from us or from yourselves, for using harshness where it is not deserving, for they prevent you from the guidance and we do not condone them in that.

I ask Allah that through this message He guides many of you, and that He shows us and yourselves the truth, recognising it as such and bless us with its following, to show us the falsehood, recognising it as such and bless us with its abandonment, and that He does not make the truth obscured to us such as we are misled. I wish by this only good and reconciliation to the best of my ability and there is no blessing except from Allah and to Him I rely and to Him I turn. "We have believed in Allah and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, and the Tribes and what was given to Moses and Jesus and given to the Prophets from their Lord, we do not differentiate between any one of them and we are to Him submitters(Muslims)."

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds and may the blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, and the imam and leader of the resplendent, and upon his brothers from the Prophets and the Muslims and their followers, and all who follow them well until the Day of Judgement.
