The healthy dimension of fasting

Fasting during Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam, and one of its great pillars, is to protect the Muslim from many ills and sins.

Ibn Qayim al-Jawziya was quoted as saying in his book (Prophetic Medicine):

Fasting is a product of the medicine of the soul, heart and body, and its benefits are missed by the siege, and it has a wondrous effect in maintaining health, melting waste and holding the soul away from its harms.

It is not surprising that fasting has a significant impact on health, and this has been demonstrated by senior doctors, who noted that the number of patients attending medical clinics decreases during Ramadan, especially those suffering from certain diseases that affect Fasting has a significant effect, such as low pressure, digestive disorders, brain hemorrhage, intestinal bleeding, angina and clots. The records of hospital reception departments are proof of this.

Therefore, much of the money spent on these patients will be available to be spent on other projects, which is one of the economic benefits of fasting.

In her wonderful book, "Health Prevention in the Light of the Book and the Sunnah", Professor Lulua dughter Saleh Al Ali says:

The health benefits of fasting are no longer hidden, as the average person knows this fact, touches its results, and enjoys its good effects. "Fasting leads to low blood pressure, so the percentage of patients who attend the pressure clinic decreases during Ramadan," he said.

The digestive system has the most luck of the benefits of fasting, as it prepares the spiritual atmosphere, serenity and calm, due to the direct effect of fasting on the digestive system and resting for a long period of secretions of the juices the digester. Fasting is therefore useful in treatments for chronic bowel disorders accompanied by the fermentation of starchy and protein substances.

Dr. Roy Walford, an American scientist and professor of pathology, said fasting prolongs life because it improves health and helps get the body rid of its harmful waste.

Here's a message from Dr. Mak Fadon for people in general, smokers in particular, where he says that every person needs to fast, even if he is not sick, because the poisons of food, medicines and cigarettes come together in the body and make him sick, Overburdened, low-activity.

Dr. AbdulAziz Ismail emphasizes:

Fasting is used medically in many cases and is used preventively in more cases. Fasting has often been shown to be the only remedy.

Many studies and medical research have pointed to the fact that smoke, cigarette smoke is poisonous, unfortunately, the whole country has been abused by millions of east and west, and has spread accordingly. One of the deadly diseases, until the health damage of smoking has become a recognized fact, is unacceptable.

The problem is that the health damage to smoking affects the digestive system, nervous system, circulatory system, urinary system, sexual relationship, children and embryos.

American surgeon Eriguets Graham says:

I've become sure that smoking increases your chances of getting cancer 20 times more likely to develop cancer.

Studies, facts, statistics and figures are terrifying, frightening, in this area, until it came to death in some countries to die as a result of smoking and tobacco about twenty thousand in the heart, and fifteen thousand in the lung Thirty-three thousand cancers every year.

So: what is required?

Dr. Andre Soperan says:

Health care requires avoiding smoking and staying away from places contaminated by tobacco smoke.

Ramadan is a golden opportunity. "There is no doubt that fasting is an effective way to get rid of microbes," says Dr. Robert Bartlow.

In conclusion, some important rules and facts can be provided in this regard:

First, ibn Qayyam al-Jawziya says: "In the legitimate fast, one of the reasons for maintaining health and the sport of the body and the soul, which is not driven by the true nature."

Secondly, some western doctors said: "Fasting one month a year goes with dead waste in the body for a year."

Thirdly, Michelangelo, the sheikh of the muammar, says: "I attribute my maintenance to health, strength and activity in the years of my adulthood, because I practice fasting from time to time, every year I fast for a month, every month fast for a week, and in a week fast one day.

Fourth: One of them fasted for fourteen days, he lost weight (11) kilos and his stomach became strong, after she was weak and sick. After the second week of fasting, the salts that caused the cancer were removed from his back.
