Islam is paying more attention to correcting and cultivating manners and behavior, and the best ways to achieve that is to adopt the Islamic way of rearing because it cultivates the human soul and completes the personality.

Whenever the personality is complete, a person could do his duties as should toward his Lord, his family, and his brothers in humanity.

Islamic rearing makes a person get used to truthfulness, judging according the right criteria, and spreading goodness among the people; and this is the status of the righteous which Allah granted to those who hold fast with the religion and keep to it. From the invocations of the righteous people as reported in the Glorious Qur'an is the following: "So he [Sulaimân (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech and said: "My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favors which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves."" [Surat An-Naml: 19].

Of the features of Islamic rearing is to choose the nice words and good expressions when a person wants to speak. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And say to My slaves (i.e. the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism) that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaitân (Satan) verily, sows a state of conflict and disagreements among them. Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is to man a plain enemy." [Surat Al Isra': 53].

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "May Allah bestow mercy on the person who speaks of good."

Of the features of Islamic rearing is to follow the best ways, the most correct methods which are the most entitled of application.

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Those who avoid At-Tâghût (false deities) by not worshipping them and turn to Allâh (in repentance), for them are glad tidings; so announce the good news to My slaves * Those who listen to the Word [good advice Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh) and Islâmic Monotheism] and follow the best thereof (i.e. worship Allâh Alone, repent to Him and avoid Tâghût) those are (the ones) whom Allâh has guided and those are men of understanding." [Surat Az-Zumar: 17- 18].

A religious person protects his heart against whims and always is looking forward to what is more satisfying, purer, and more pious. "But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires and lusts." [Surat An-Nazi`at: 40].

Of the features of Islamic rearing is high vigor and high self-esteem where to abandon the lower worldly affairs and break into difficulties in acquisition of virtues and high manners.

Of these features also is the will power, and moral courage, meaning that a person should have patience, forbearance, firmness, and stability.

Moreover, he should kick away anxiety, despair, and hopelessness, and say the truth without fearing the blame of blamers; and the Ayah indicates to that meaning: "O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful." [Surat Al `Imran: 200].

The Prophet used to take a pledge from his Companions to tell the truth even if it is bitter and not to fear the blame of blamers.

A person who grows up on sound Islamic rearing does not disable his mind and his intellectual talents, so he does not buy illusions and do not judge people according to ill-thinking because guess is no substitute for the truth. However, a person should think in the matters of knowledge, the universe, nature, and life to acquire knowledge and achieve certainty. In this regard, Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not) that of which you have no knowledge. Verily, the hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those one will be questioned (by Allâh)." [Surat Al Isra': 36].

This means: Do not say: I have knowledge while you have seen anything because Allah (Glory be to Him) shall ask man about where from he has gained knowledge about everything that he saw, heard, and knew.

Islamic rearing may cause a person to belittle the world, and sacrifice himself and everything for the victory of the creed and spreading the truth. Anas ibn An-Nadr narrated that he did not attend the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and that was difficult for him. He said: "I was absent in the first battle which the Messenger of Allah fought. However, if Allah permitted that I attend a battle with the Messenger of Allah, I shall show Him what I am going to do." When the Prophet (peace be upon him) engaged in the Battle of Uhud, he went to Sa`d ibn Mu`adh and said: O Abu `Amr, how nice the odor of Paradise is! I can smell the odor of Paradise at the mountain of Uhud. Then, he fought until he was killed. When they found his body, they found several and eighty stabs in his body. His sister Ar-Rabi` said: "I did not recognize my brother but through his fingers, and about him and his companions the following Ayah was revealed. "Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allâh [i.e. they have gone out for Jihâd (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers]; of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred); and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e. they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allâh] in the least."" [Surat Al Ahzab: 23].

Indeed, the Islamic rearing is making men, creating heroes, and delivering the nation to the dignity of the world and the Hereafter.

Indeed, Islamic rearing protects the people against psychological, moral, and social diseases. These diseases were mentioned in the Qur'an as follows: weakness, despair, ingratitude, self-conceit, pride, oppression, denial, rashness, heedlessness, foolishness, miserliness, stinginess, argumentation, show-off, doubt, ignorance, mindlessness and bitter enmity, vanity, false accusation, panic, anxiety, withholding, rebellion, stubbornness, tyranny, exceeding the limits, the love of the money, and being tricked by the world.

We should treat all these diseases until the souls get cure, restore health and good condition, and become reassured souls with the right and goodness in order to be successful. "By Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; * Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him. * Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allâh ordered, by following the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds). * And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allâh has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism or by following polytheism or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds)." [Surat Ash-Shams: 7-10].

Whenever the soul is good, everything shall be good. and deserved to be called by Allah (Glory be to Him): "(It will be said to the pious - believers of Islamic Monotheism): O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! * Come back to your Lord - well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (to Him)! * Enter you then among My (honored) slaves, * And enter you My Paradise!" [Surat Al Fajr: 27- 30].
