During an internal flight to Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and when I was in the bus which would get us to the plane, a young man grabbed my hand and said: Did you know me? I said: No. He said: I am `Isam, you have taught me several years ago. I have graduated from the university and was appointed in one of remote villages. I said: Never mind, starting in countryside is better than the city students because there are near to primitiveness and away from the morals of urban students and their troubles and perhaps, you would build up your experiments there. Thereupon he shook his head; at that time, I did not know whether He is convinced or he is hoping for an intercession to transfer him to Al Medina and lift the burden of going to and coming back from the village? Then each one of us went to his seat.

In Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and during my visit to some place, the one whom I sat next to him said to me: Did not you recognize me? I said: No. He said: Try, I am one of your students. I examined him carefully and I tried to imagine what did he look like in young age. So, I said: perhaps you are so and so? He said: Yes. After we had chatted a little, he finished what I needed then departed.
It happened to me many times in the airport.

Once, someone stopped me and said: Kindly ask me anything, I want to serve you anyway. I said to him: By Allah, I wish to fulfill your request, but, thanks to Allah, my reservation is confirmed and I have all I need. He said: I shall get your ticket and accompany you to the gate. I said to him: you are welcome! Then he went happily with his act.

On the other hand, I went with a colleague to have dinner in one of the restaurants then someone stopped him and I stood with them. He introduced himself as one of my colleague's students twenty years ago. He said: I cannot forget so and so of teachers because they treated me harshly without reason. He continued: May Allah ruin so and so! I knew he is trying to have PhD. As for so and so, I took avenge of him and wait the chance to take revenge of the third. Then he said: they harmed me and because of them I moved to another school; by Allah I do not forget their oppression to me without right. Then he said: By Allah, I know who punished me for my sake and who punished me out of rage and envy. So and so hit me many times, but he was seeking my best interest and my degrees never were less than 90%. By Allah, every time I see him, I kiss his head. He addressed my colleague saying: you got angry with me several times but I know that you did not want but all good to me.

I remembered the days of teaching and remembered when I was fresh graduate and eager to do something useful, difficult questions, and firm situations which I took in order that students get the highest marks and desiring to achieve what others could not achieve. It is the power of youth which a teacher regrets after a while and wish to be more lenient with students and more realistic in handling matters. I shall never forget that young man who entered upon him one of the schools affiliated to government to rebuke him regarding the treatment he used to treat him. He welcomed him and said: O teacher, do you know that you are the reason behind me leaving school? By your rigidity, I hated school and left it.

The teacher wished that the earth would crack and swallow him because of shame. No matter how much he explained, explanation is of no use. And whatever he justified, his justification will be incorrect before the truth. When gentleness exists in something, it will beautify him and whenever it is taken from something, it will distort it. In return: "The one who teaches me a letter, I will be his servant."
