The offensive movie and how to reply?

All praise be to Allah (may He be Exalted). We praise Him and seek His Help and Forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah against the evils of our own selves and our bad actions. Whom Allah guides, there is no one can mislead and whoever has gone astray no one can guide him.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger.

Everyone knows about the offensive movie talking about the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the subsequent implications and the reaction of Muslims.

I totally agree with my brethren to go out for demonstrations against that movie and putting to trial everyone has a near or far relationship with that shameful action.

The West raises the banner of freedom and claims to respect religions, but where is that respect?! Is the meaning of freedom transgressing the limits with Messengers and sanctities, and hurting the feelings of millions of Muslims ?!

However, I do not agree with anyone who went out to ruin, destroy, or kill. We all know what had happened in Libya, Egypt, and Yemen; Islam does not face offence with offence but with goodness, and history is the best witness .

There are other means that we can do to prove to the world that Islam is a religion of knowledge and culture, not a religion of terrorism .

As for the Prophet (peace be upon him), he was a man who taught the entire humanity the meaning of life and laid down the rules of culture as Bernard Shaw, Michael Hart, Leo Tolstoy, and Will Durant said:

Of these means are the following:

•Calling for a huge Islamic conference to discuss what happened and sue those criminal in the International Court of Law.

• Improving the role which Islamic centers play in European countries through establishing a huge Islamic library in each center that contains books about the Prophet (peace be upon him), the tolerance of Islam, Fiqh, history and Islamic culture, and translations of these books into multiple languages .

• Calling grand scholars in each center to give lectures about the Messenger of Allah and the culture of Islam, afterwards these lectures should be translated to multiple languages and distributed .

• Muslim scholars should write booklets entitled: "Facts about Islam" or "Facts about the Messenger of Islam" then to be translated and distributed in subways and train stations as evangelists do in Africa; this is a part of freedom to which they call .

• Going back to the Qur'an and the Sunnah in application, for there is neither advancement nor knowledge without them .

• Exhortation to excellence in modern sciences along with the Shari`ah sciences to prove to the West that we are a people of culture .

Finally, the West never waged war against Islam and Muslims but Islam has been victorious. I remind you of 9/11 which took place then we said: Islam and Muslims shall suffer much, but glory be to Allah, many people embraced Islam and the world stood in a maze and wondered how would the people embrace Islam in the middle of that fierce attack of the media against Islam and exposing it as a religion of terrorism, rape, and oppression of women?!

My advice to you is not to be pessimists, for victory is forthcoming and we shall see in sha' Allah.
