Praise be to Allah Almighty, we praise Him and seek His Help and Forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of ourselves and our evil deeds. Whom Allah guides there is no one can mislead and whomever He misleads there is no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger.

In this article, I shall speak about the Jewish actions against the Egyptian prisoners of war in 1967, depending on issue No. 46 of At-Tibyan Magazine about the heinous crimes committed by the Jews against the Egyptian prisoners of war in 1967.

Here, I shall mention some testimonies of Egyptian soldiers and officers who were captured then released. I shall also mention some testimonies of the Bedouins who were living in Sinai and saw the mass killing of Egyptian soldiers and officers. Then I shall mention some confessions of criminal Jews and their leaders about the brutal killing of prisoners and burying them in mass graves.

First: Testimonies of Egyptian soldiers and officers:

* Soldier Amin `Abdur-Rahman Jumu`ah:

He was a soldier in the infantry, detachment No. 1, battalion 502, Brigade 118. He was captured on June 6, 1967, he said: After the Jews surrounded the Brigade and the soldiers surrendered, officers took off their military ranks so that they would not be known as officers. The Jews invented a smart trick to distinguish the officers which was: Depriving the entire camp from water for three days and they called officers to drink first. Officers hastened to drink and the Jews shot them all; and they were about 300 Egyptian officers whose blood was mixed with water.

In the next day, they took junior officers, tied their hands, and made them set on the ground then a tank came to crush them all until their bodies were torn apart and mixed with sands.

A few days later, the Jews called for us and commanded us to write down our names to hand them over to the Red Cross. Once the soldiers started to hold the pens, snipers shot them from guard towers, later on we discovered that they intended to shoot anyone knows how to write or read.

* Muhammad `Abdut-Tawab `Uthman:

A civilian who was captured on June 6, 1967 near El Arish Town. He said: We were gathered in El Arish airport and were commanded to sleep in planes' hangars and on the next morning, seventy of us died due to suffocation, then they were buried inside the airport after sprayed them with quicklime. Then they commanded us to collect about 400 prisoners of wounded soldiers and put them in trucks and commanded us to bury them alive by quicklime. Thereafter, we moved to Beersheba, and there they put nearly 100 Egyptian officers on firing wall lifting their hands and blindfolded with pieces of black cloth. They made them stand in one row and shot them then forced us to bury them without placing marks or names on their graves.

* Sergeant Muhammad Sayyid Al Farmawy:

He participated in the war and after sixteen days of pursuits and siege, he was captured and transferred to a special camp for prisoners. He said: Every morning we stood in a row and the camp leader used to pass between the row and choose ten people randomly then the soldiers would take them and shoot them. Then an armored vehicle would drag them on the ground and draw them outside the camp and comes back empty. After the passage of 45 days, about 450 detainees were killed and only 200 prisoners remained out of 650 prisoners in that camp.

Second: Sinai Bedouins' testimonies:

* Al-Ahram Newspaper made interviews with many residents in northern Sinai, which has been the scene of operations in 1967. In "Abu Saql" region directly on the coast of the sea, a mass grave was discovered which contained hundreds of prisoners. Sheikh Rashad Khalil Al Humusany, who was one of the residents, narrated the following story:

"A nearby Egyptian camp that contained one thousand officers and soldiers were attacked by the Jewish army on June 5, 1967 and after a fierce battle, the Israeli air force intervened and ended the battle. All officers and soldiers were taken as prisoners, tied from behind, and their eyes were blindfolded. The Jews collected ten citizens from the Bedouins including me and forced us to see the killing of our troops. A military jeep with an automatic gun machine approached and a female soldier stood before the soldiers staring at them. All officers and soldiers were silent and waiting, and suddenly she opened the gun machine killing hundreds of prisoners in a terrible scene. After that, the Jewish soldiers commanded us to bury these bodies and threatened us to finish before sunset. Some of us were crying, some were reciting the Qur'an, and some were pronouncing Takbir "saying: Allah is the Greatest." After a while, we could dig some graves and buried them all in a mass grave which we calledt "Abu Saql," and we asked the Jewish soldiers to offer the funeral Salah at their graves but they refused.

* Al Gomhuriyyah Newspaper published on 10/12/1995 a dialogue with Sheikh Hasan Hussein Al Maleh, 65 years old, and lived in the palm region near the sea, in which the Sheikh said: The Jews were collecting Egyptian prisoners of war in this region, telling them that they shall be transported to the canal region in buses, then they would command them to stand in a row facing the sea then shot them all. The operation was repeated several times until the number of the killed prisoners reached 300, then Sheikh Hasan headed into the burial site of the soldiers where some bodies, bones, and skulls of prisoners were extracted.

Third: Confessions of Jewish criminals of killing prisoners:

Criminal "Amos Ne'eman," a lieutenant colonel in the Jewish army in 1967, said: We have chased Egyptians and killed them without any rules, and whoever managed to escape has escaped by a miracle. We hate them all. I was happy with the massacre of Sharm El-Sheikh in which 169 of Egyptian soldiers were killed. I visited the area of Sharm El-Sheikh in 1976 and was able to identify the skeletons of some prisoners who have been killed between some rocks along the main road.

* "Ehud Barak," the former prime minister and the former defense minister, said: I commanded 1200 prisoners to take off their clothes and sleep naked on the hot sand and under the scorching sun, then I commanded the soldiers to step on their heads and chests with their heavy boots then killed them all.

* "Mikhail Basoh," a member of the Knesset for the Labor party, confessed in a radio interview that he witnessed two Israeli cooks slaughtering three Egyptian soldiers in daylight after tying their hands and legs and slaughtered them as sheep.

Here raises an important question which is: What is the fate of the soldiers who were not killed?

The prisoners were taken to Tel Aviv and were divided into groups: A group from which blood was withdrawn from their bodies until they died then the blood was taken to blood banks for accidents and emergency. A group whose stomachs were opened and their organs were taken out for trade. And a group was used as laboratory mice where all medicines and gases were tested to know their impact on the human body and how quickly they may kill it. Some of this group died as soon as they inhaled gases and some of them died after suffering the agonies of death and shortness of breath; may Allah kill those criminals!

This is what the Jews did with the Egyptian prisoners of war, and we have also seen what they are doing today with our brothers in Gaza. We also have seen what the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan is doing, what Russia is doing in Chechnya and Dagestan, and what China is doing in East Turkistan and Tibet; shall we then wake up?

These confessions and testimonies were collected by the Kuwaiti society magazine from the records of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights which submitted a report to Arab and international official authorities under the title: "Crime and Punishment ... return the rights of prisoners and put to trial their killers" in a press conference held by the Socialist party in Cairo on Thursday 8/3/2007.
