Who calls for a clash: the West or Islam?

(Francis Fukuyama) and his earlier (Phelps Samuel Huntington) were not Muslims. If we know that the theory of the clash of civilizations is not of an Arabic origin, the answer to the question raised in the thesis will be so clear.

If we disregard this and looked to reality, regardless time and whether the look penetrates the boundaries of history or precedes time and space to the future, we will in no need to know the circumstances where Huntington and Fukuyama have been living in. Moreover, we shall discover that the Western doctrine did not present something new, but it was rather a reality in which our ancestors lived and we have been through and it will last until Allah inherits the earth and everything on it. The conflict between the truth and falsehood is as old as history itself and will last, not according to our religion, but according to the Western mentality and their religion to the end of time. The Jews as well as the Christians, especially the Protestants and their sects, such as evangelists, the Mormon[1], Al-Sabtiyyoun[2] or Adventists, and Jehovah's Witnesses[3].

They are all looking forward to establish their great state (Israel) which will last for a thousand years after the decisive battle of (Armageddon). Armageddon is a Hebrew name which means "the mountain of Megiddo." It is located at Marj Ibn `Amir on the communications line between the northern and the southern sections of Palestine. According to their view, the decisive battle between the Christ and Gog and Magog will take place there. They say that after a thousand years, Satan will be released of its chains and starts to seduce the people and leading them astray. Gog and Magog will collect an army like the sands of sea and will come to surround Baytul-Maqdis where Jesus and his followers exist. Allah will send a fire from the sky to burn Gog and Magog, then Allah grabs Satan and casts it into Hell forever, accordingly evil is eliminated ultimately. John referred to this incident in his vision (16/16) and mentioned its details in the same exodus (20/7), but the Christian sects differ whether these names are real i.e., Gog and Magog and the release of Satan or they refer to other things of our symbols!

They all agree to support the Israeli nuclear arms in Palestine, in preparation for the decisive battle in Armageddon in which the Christ (peace be upon him) will fight. This is what the Encyclopedia Britannica referred to: "The interest in the return of the Jews to Palestine, remained alive in mind, by the faithful Christian, especially in Britain, more than the actions of the Jews themselves."

This meaning is not repeated secretly, but aloud, day and night, and is mentioned publically in churches. One of their most popular priests (Pat Repettson)[4] says: "The re-birth of Israel is the only reference that the countdown of the end of the world has begun. With its birth, the rest of prophecies will come true quickly." Jimmy Swaggart, the American evangelical pastor said in one of his famous sermons on 22\9\1985: "I wish I could say that we are going to have peace, but I believe that Armageddon is forthcoming, Armageddon is forthcoming. It will take place in the valley of Megiddo; it is coming. They may sign as many peace treaties as they want, but that will achieve nothing. There are hard times coming and I have no plans to enter Hell. However, the Lord will descend from His High place… O my god! I am so happy for this…He will come again. Armageddon revives my soul."[5]

The advocacy to support Israel and its declaration is adopted openly by many priests and monks, but it is not the proper time to mention some of their statements. The purpose is to prove that the theory of the clash of civilizations has been made up in the West and was adopted by some thinkers, politicians, and clergy men, in the past and in the present. Today, we see that many of the Western extremists call to these ideas. A few days ago, I read an article written by one of them about prohibiting and preventing Islam and quoted from Geert Wilders[6], the Dutch political leader, his calls to prohibit the Qur'an which he considered equivalent to the book of Hitler (my struggle)! He also quoted from Australian politicians, such as Pauline Hanson[7], and Paul Green[8], their demands to stop Muslim migration.

The Coordinator of the Federation of Northern Italy (Roberto Calderoli) wrote in 2005 which reads: "We should stigmatize Islam as illegal until Muslims become ready to give up the false parts of their religion that glorify violence, oppression and suppression of other cultures and religions. The British Member of Parliament (Boris Johnson) denoted in 2005 that the draft law of ethnic and religious hatred should mean to stop reading so many Ayahs of the Qur'an itself whether in public or secretly."[9]

The Norwegian party of Kristiansand tried to prohibit and forbid Islam in 2004.[10] The German constitution[11] sought to prevent and prohibit the Qur'an in 2006, based on the contradiction between the Qur'an and the German Constitution[12]. A group called "Stop the Islamization of Denmark" demanded at the beginning of 2007 to prevent and prohibit parts of the Qur'an as well as the prevention and prohibition of all masjids, claiming that they are unconstitutional. The priests and bishops of "Catch the Fire" Church in Australia adopted in 2004 that "Because the Qur'an contradicts the Christian faith in many things and based on the blasphemy law, so it is an illegal religion."[13]

In other countries, writers asked for the same demands, such as the Switzerland strategic Jane Ellen Merritt who prepared a plan of two dimensions; a popular and a judicial dimension with the purpose of "preventing the implementation of all Islamic projects in Switzerland."[14] In France, an anonymous writer wishes in Fox Liberty Website to prevent and prohibit Islam;[15] and that is what Warner Todd Houston, Texas, United States wished.[16]

In Britain, a film was shot in 2006 in Vendetta depicts the future of Britain, where the Qur'an was prohibited and prevented.[17]

Patrick Skodu from the Institute of Studying Islam and Christianity called in 2006 to prevent and prohibit one of the Qur'an translations because that new translation establishes a strategy for killing infidels and waging war on them,"[18] as if he had not read the Torah nor he had not believe in it! Matthew, which is unanimously recognized, states: "Do not think I have come to lay down peace on earth. I did not come to establish peace, but a sword. I have come to make people in disagreement with their fathers, daughters with their mothers, and a girl with her mother in-law."[19]

These accusations against Islam have exceeded the popular level in USA; when New York Police Department issued a report about a month ago entitled "Radicalization in the West: The Homegrown Threat"[20] in which it illustrated that terrorism arises from introductions and ideas in the Islamic culture.

According to New York Police Department, the radicalization process arises from the "Jihadi-Salafi ideology" that drives and abetting young Muslims who were born in the West to engage in terrorist operations against their own countries.

one of the writers who act against Islam comments on the report saying: "Six years ago, there was no police report would include such a large amount of assertion, and you would not find terms such as (Jihadi-Salafi ideology), but rarely. It is amazing that the Police Department of New York admits that it needed much time to reach that level of precision in understanding: "In the past, we were searching for early indicators of a threat in the area where a terrorist or a group of terrorists plan to attack, but now, we have moved our focus to a further point; it is the beginning of the radicalization process [of Islamic thought]. Despite these developments, the liberal commentators repeat inaccurate claims about the suffering of all Americans from huge and profound ignorance of Islam! This is what the Rabbi Eric Yoffie, President of the Union for Judaism Reform, during his speech before a Conference and a gathering of Muslims."[21]

Some of those who describe themselves as moderate among the Western reforms categorize Osama bin Laden among the extremists then adds to him the legal wing of extremism Recep Tayyip Erdogan and adds to them the representative of the political imams Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and demanded to put him into trial. Now, do you know which extremism they fight?

The followers of those Westerners who are called "the Arab liberalist" raised a claim three years ago to demand the stoppage of religious incitement to violence. The claim mentioned in names "the sheikhs of death" and Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi was on the top of the list and there were many demands to put those Sheikhs into international trial. It is worth mentioning that 2500 Muslim intellectuals from 23 countries have signed that petition.[22]

All these incidents show to you that the moderate Islam that those people call to is the kind of Islam that whose advocates agree to write off some Ayahs of the Qur'an and hundreds or even thousands of the Sunnah.

This is recognized by some of our compatriots who are trying to appear moderate. One of those people is `Abdul-Rahman Al-Rashed who said: "As Muslims, we cannot clear our names except after we admit that terrorism has become an Islamic project for Muslim men and women."[23]

Anouar Boukhars, one of the activists of Virginia, says: "Terrorism has become an Islamic problem and refusing to admit that is a very disturbing issue."[24]

The reason for calling Islam as the religion of terrorism is: some people consider some parts of Islam call to terrorism as long as the concept of Islam does not change to cope with those moderates' ideas. As for the Western extremists, it is a must to delete some Ayahs of the Qur'an and deny a large amount of the Sunnah. We seek refuge in Allah from going to disbelief after embracing Islam. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad) till you follow their religion." [Surat Al Baqarah: 120]. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, this Qur'an, and Muhammad), and have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad) and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path. * Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve." [Surat Al Mumtahinah 1-2]. Despite the secrets they reveal to those people, Allah says: "Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies." [Surat At-Tawbah].

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) nor Al-Mushrikûn (the idolaters, polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, pagans, etc.) like that there should be sent down unto you any good from your Lord. But Allâh chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty." [Suat Al Baqarah: 105]. "O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand." [Surat Al `Imran: 118]. "Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the book (the Jews), purchasing the wrong path, and wish that you should go astray from the Right Path. * Allah has full knowledge of your enemies, and Allah is Sufficient as a Wali (Protector), and Allah is Sufficient as a Helper." [Surat An-Nisa': 44-45]. "How (can there be such a covenant with them) that when you are overpowered by them, they regard not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant with you? With (good words from) their mouths they please you, but their hearts are averse to you, and most of them are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). * They have purchased with the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah a little gain, and they hindered men from His Way; evil indeed is that which they used to do. * With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors." [Surat At-Tawbah: 8-10].

There are many texts to the same effect.

The purpose of this explanation is to show that the war against Islam, whether it came under a clash of civilizations or under any other concept, it is taken for granted to them, they confess this, and the texts of the Qur'an and the Sunnah have illustrated this fully. I give some excuses to the laymen who are deceived by the views of the Westerners if they reflect on their views, but they may be deceived by some political statements because non-Muslims are different in regard of their policies. Some of them declares war against Islam and Muslims while others call to give support to the moderate Islam which is, in their views, unlike the religion that Allah has revealed.

Yet, where are the Islamists who are confused by the texts of the Qur'an and the Sunnah?!

Finally: Who is calling for clash with others, the West or Islam?

The truth is: the Islamic conducts in the era of weakness do not exceed but reactions and not actions — if we admit that some of them are reckless — this will only stop if the West stops. This is the view of the Western extremists. The lenient, moderate, and extremist Muslims agreed that it is not now the time for Jihadul-Talab (Jihad for opening other countries for Islam). The meaning of Jihadul-Talab according to scholars, if it is the proper time for Jihad, is not to eradicate the disbelievers or clearing the land from any religion other than Islam, otherwise it will not be proper to approve that the People of the Scriptures and others to pay the tribute.[25]

As for the reality of weakness that Muslims are living these days, reason states that the one who fears the clash is the weak and not the dominating strong. That proves if the West put their spears, they would not have reached its current position.
