The Palestinian conciliation … The warmth of Cairo gathers the Palestinians

When mottos were released from the Palestinian territory desiring the end of division —several weeks ago I wrote an article in that timing entitled "Ending division is not impossible" as long as there is a truthful intention and giving priority to general interests—, few days have passed and Fath & Hamas declared that they have reached an agreement to end division and gather the Palestinian family again to one objective which is (the liberation of the land).

The question is: What has happened? And why it did not happen during the past years since the beginning of the dispute between both sides although Egypt has authorized `Umar Sulayman, the head of the Intelligence Agency, to end the division?

However, things got worsened whenever both sides met, and every time the journalistic statements of the officials in Egypt or in the West bank come up to say: Hamas is hindering any nearness between both sides, blocking all ways for conciliation, and it does not want peace.

Then Zionists come out with crocodile tears to weep for the peace which has been wasted by Hamas and for the international situations which support the Palestinian people as they claim!

That matter was not weird or strange for political analysts who read reality and history well.

Before Hamas could assume power, the Egyptian regime was talking about Hamas as an Islamic movement that has nothing to do with politics, does not want peace, and the only thing they know is bullets and blood-shed.

The West and USA have built their views and attitudes on these statements, however Hamas wanted to stress that Islam is a religion of worship and actions and it brought everything that regulate the daily matters.

Hamas entered the political game and democratic elections took place which were made to test the popular base of Hamas in the West bank and in Gaza Strip and Hamas won, took the majority, and formed the government.

Of course, that matter did not satisfy the Zionists or their allies in the West, especially after the objection of Hamas to negotiations, and declaring that it will not recognize Israel.

The situation exploded through intelligent leaks under the American-Israeli-Egyptian supervision and instead of paying attention to the cause of the Palestinian people, the Arab and the Palestinian people got engaged in internal disputes, whereas Zionists were engaged in building settlements, Judaization of Jerusalem, besieging Gaza, and planting all seditions they could so that Palestinians could not be united and be distorted before the world, claiming that Israel cannot find a peace partner to represent the Palestinian people.

Israel controlled Gaza, and tightened the siege around Gaza with the help of Egypt until it became similar to the regime in the West Bank. However, Gaza is not dead and did not surrender but came out with all plots stronger than ever before.

The regime of Egypt did not want conciliation between the Palestinians exactly as Israel because conciliation means to open cross points and freedom of movement, which the previous regime considered dangerous to its security, especially, when Hamas was classified as an extension to Ikhwan-ul-Muslimin (the Muslim Brotherhood) in Egypt which the regime described as banned.

Therefore, the previous Egyptian regime played a detonator role between Fath and Hamas and by its bias to Fath, leaking information to it about Hamas. That matter was well-known by Hamas and they refused to give concessions at the expense of martyrs.

The situation remained on the edge by the blessing of Israel, America, and the Egyptian regime.

As soon as the 25^th of January revolution began, the spirit of Arabism and Islam came back again in the Egyptian foreign relationships. It came back again to occupy its status and to be a support for the Palestinian cause which has been the cause of the entire nation with a popular blessing and under a pressure that Israel knows well.

Accordingly, the Palestinians came to Cairo headed by Khalid Mash`al to sign the conciliation agreement and to form a government of national unity so as to dedicate themselves to the main cause with the occupation and to make the West Bank and Gaza Strip as one unit.

I expect that the Palestinian territories shall witness a new stage after agreement in which the people will be the arbitrator and judge.

In a simple look for the situation before the revolution, we find that the Egyptian regime was inflaming matters further by its repeated accusation to Hamas or to some symbols in Gaza that they were behind the terrorist attacks that occurred in Egypt, which its last accidents was "the Church of the Saints" in Alexandria.

After the collapse of the regime, it has been discovered that it was arranged and planned to lower the voices of Gaza that requested the opening of the crossings and finding a kind of fear and engaging the people with their own interest instead of the public interest.

Every painful event in Egypt, the security bodies attributed it to Hamas either by direct or indirect indication.

Now, the agreement will be signed, Gaza shall go back to the West Bank, and the Palestinians shall gather again, but will the Zionists stop to deepen the crack among the brethren?

I doubt that and I invite our brethren in the West Bank and in the Strip to pay attention to that because Zionists live a case of worry after the eruption of Arab revolutions and after the collapse of some traitorous regimes.

Israel did not think that the peoples, which are possessed by poverty, sickness, and ignorance, are able to make revolutions to destroy regimes that their ruling lasted for over than 40 years!

So, welcome to the return of the soul to the body of the nation to take its place and say its word; the word of the best nation.
