Allah (Glory be to Him) created the human soul with the love of beauty; and Allah (Glory be to him) is beautiful and loves beauty. He has created man in the best form and the best shape, moreover looking at and pondering over beauty fill the soul with satisfaction, joy, and the feeling of happiness.

Women were inherent to the love of adornment; therefore they always search for beauty and seek it at all costs, however beauty is not only in shape and body. We do not have bodies only but we have souls, so there is no meaning in the beauty of the face and appearance without purifying the inner self and the soul, moreover we should also spread happiness all around us. The real beauty is good words and reasonable mind which are not just features but a glittering soul that spreads joy, comfort, and goodness, and deals with the universe with high smartness and good manners. The beauty of the face is due to the light of obedience, the beauty of the heart is due to the sweetness of faith, the beauty of the body is due to submission to the Lord of the worlds, and the beauty of manners is due to forbearance, patience, and persuasion; contentment is more beautiful and better than any apparent beauty and false powders that quickly go away.

Experts say in confirmation of this meaning: (There is no ugly woman) because each woman has a part of beauty, but the most important is to conceal our defects and deal with out private matters in a smart way to highlight that beauty in a legitimate framework.

Doctors and psychologists argue that health and beauty are twins, and that beauty shall not be attractive but after it is combined with health that eases the body from pain and aches and adds brightness and vitality to the face; is the beauty limited only to the features of the face and body? Could a person be healthy and ugly at the same time? Is the apparent beauty a reaction to the psychological and spiritual beauty besides health and wellness?

We love beauty and care for it whether it is internal or external on the condition that we do not prohibit something lawful and do not lawfulize something prohibited, and this is the real beauty of women. The real beauty of a woman is her religiousness, her care for reason and religion, and her knowledge of the role she plays in the life of her family, society, and nation because without these basics, there is no meaning of beauty which does not last. The beauty of the shape is not the only criteria by which we judge the beauty of a woman because the bad manner of a woman may distort the beauty of the shape, so it will have no value. Although a man adorns the woman's external beauty, he also wants her a mother for his children, a regulator for his affairs, a keeper for his properties, and obedient to him in things which please Allah (Glory be to Him). A handsome man may not marry a fair woman because he sees another kind of beauty in her: Perhaps her easy nature, good manner, or noble situations.

The mixture between the beauty of the soul and the beauty of the shape makes harmony for the woman who is content of her life and shape [the beauty of the soul], and that adds a double beauty to her such as having a nice smile [the beauty of the shape]. A smile gives a credit for the woman who lives smartly and does not stop at trivial matters, moreover it gives her the power to tolerate, open her horizon, reject arguments, and have patience.

How to be beautiful?

In order to be beautiful, you may not need different kinds of powders because the style of your life may protect and renew your beauty or may destroy it. Of the things which maintain and renew your beauty are:

Contentment and satisfaction:

They are the shortest way to happiness and beauty. Plastic surgeons have decided that a happy life adds a breathtaking natural beauty to its owner and makes it more resistant to wrinkles, and gives her a younger look smaller than her real age.

The life of each individual is not totally free of troubles and obstacles, so when a person believes that his life should be dreamy, he is mistaken. As for the feeling of satisfaction, it gives comfort and ease. Do not forget that contentment with the destiny of Allah is one of the pillars of Islam. So, if you try this, recalling in mind His Reward, you shall have the reward in the Hereafter, and happiness and beauty in the world.

Perhaps you know that Allah (Glory be to him) has divided His Favors to His Servants with justice because He is the Just; is not justice one of the Beautiful Names of Allah? Search for the favors which Allah bestowed on you, thank Him for them and benefit from because no matter what you did, you shall not take more than your right. Remember that there is not perfect happiness in this world because it is the paradise of the disbeliever and the prison of the believer. If you are not convinced of what you have, then dream of the Paradise and go for it because it contains what an eye never saw, what an ear never heard, and what a person cannot imagine. In Paradise, you shall be more beautiful than the houris, do you know why? Because you have observed patience for the obedience of your Lord and restrained your vain desires; we should not forget that the bliss of the world is transient and the bliss of Paradise is endless, so which bliss do you want?

Purity of inner self:

It is not an easy matter, but its mastery comes with training, by the passage of time, and by forgiving others while recalling the reward of pardon. It is enough for you that Allah praised those who forgive others: "Those who spend (in Allâh's Cause) in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers)." [Surat Al `Imran: 134]. And His Saying: "And to forego (and give her the full Mahr) is nearer to At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness)." [Surat Al Baqarah: 237]. And His Saying: "but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allâh." [Surat Ash-Shura: 40].

You may ponder over the statement of Ibn Al Qayyim (may Allah bestow mercy on his soul) in Madarij As-Salikin: "Generosity is classified into ten ranks, then he mentioned them saying: And the seventh is generosity with one's reputation [not to avenge on those who insult you] such as the generosity of Abu Damdam. When he woke up, he said: O Allah, I have no money to give in charity, so forgive those who insult me, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to the Companions: Who among you can be like Abu Damdam?"

Do not worry:

A believer does not fear the misfortunes of life because all that befalls on him is better as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "How weird is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him." [Reported by Muslim and Ahmad] Allah (Glory be to him) says: "And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know." [Surat Baqarah: 216]. Anxiety produces toxins in the blood that negatively affect health then affects beauty.

Make others happy:

One of the greatest of Islam is that it gives great reward in helping others and fulfilling their needs then making them happy. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever endeavors to meet the needs of his Muslim brother until it is fulfilled, it is as if he stayed one month in my Masjid for worship." Of which also is the Prophet's saying: "The best of people is the most beneficial for them."

Perhaps you know that making others happy has a benefit other than the great reward which is: Their happiness will reflect on you then you shall have an indescribable spiritual beauty.

Trust your own:

Self-confidence has a special kind of beauty because it is mixed by attraction. One of the most important sources of trust is having trust in the victory of Allah as long as you are a believer and Allah shall be with you as long as you are a Muslim. You should discover your talents which Allah granted you and invest them in useful matters through which you do achievements that make you feel your value then you shall feel happy and shall gain brightness in the face and power in the body.

Play sports:

Sports to which Islam urged have great benefits to the body, since they activate the blood circulation and help other bodily organs to function properly, which affects positively the color of your skin, especially if you exercise them in the fresh air. If you do not exercise a special kind of sport, you may exercise general fitness by reading a book or playing it through watching a video, a television program, or exercise walking on a regular basis.

Eat foods of beauty:

Dr. Tarik Yousef, the author of the treasures of Herbal Medicine, said about the foods of beauty: They are the foods which contain iron and gives blood its red color, then gives the skin its pink color. Pure blood is the most important cosmetics, so you must eat enough food containing iron significantly, such as black honey; about which people say: It is a liquid iron; lentils, peas, beets, liver, eggs, spinach, artichokes, and pomegranates, in addition to eating vegetables and fresh fruit, including in particular: carrots, apples, and dairy products, especially yogurt, cottage cheese along with moderation in eating starches, sugars, and meat.
