(speculations in dialogue from Surat Yusuf) Allah (He may be Glorified) says concerning the dialogue between Joseph and his brethren: "They said: By Allâh! Indeed Allâh has preferred you to us, and we certainly have been sinners." [Surat Yusuf: 91].

The brethren of Joseph admitted before him that they were erroneous about doing that to Joseph and his brother.

They felt regret and sorrow for what they had done, then they admitted their mistake.

Then the answer came in this dialogue in spite of the disagreement that took place between them where Joseph (peace be upon him) announced the acceptance of their apology, and did not remind them of their sin, did not rebuke them, and did not blame them, but pardoned them and sought the forgiveness of Allah for them: "He said: No reproach on you this day; may Allâh forgive you, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" [Surat Yusuf: 92].

This indicates the perfection of Joseph's mind and understanding regarding the importance of keeping to the bonds of brotherhood and affection, cleaning and purifying the hearts from any disturbance.

Accordingly, from the literature of disagreement is not to censure the opponent even if one of them is more truthful in faith than the other, more knowledgeable, and more reasonable.
