Dutch professor suspended over anti-Muslim tweet

Fioritti College in Lisse has suspended professor Anand Soekhoe, and, according to Ahlul Bayt News Agency, "will not be renewing his contract, after he posted anti-Muslim comments on Twitter."

 

According to ABN Soekhoe said that "Islam is not a religion but barbaric backwardness."

 

He also said that he supported for Geert Wilders and his political party, PVV, and "warned that anyone considering voting for leftists, liberals or Christian Democrats should think of their grandchildren ("Otherwise future generations will speak Arabic! And Islam will be the state religion)."

 

PVV MP Harm Beertem has defended Soekhoe, saying that the college could not fire him because students might be offended by his remarks.

 

Soekhoe's personal twitter image is the emblem of the Indian Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, and quoted them, saying, "never trust Muslims."
