Immigrant women in Switzerland suffering from domestic violence often lack protection, according to a report issued by the Swiss Centre for Asylum and Immigration Law.

Women frequently stick with their abusive partner because they fear having to return to their home country, the report says.

It also argues these women are left in the dark over their rights and available assistance.
