"Amana ar-rasul bi-ma unzila 'ilay-hi mi rabb-hi wa-al-mu'minun, kullun 'amana bi-Allah wa-mala'ikat-hi wa-kutub-hi wa-rusul-hi Ia nufarriq bayna 'ahad min rusul-hi wa-qalu  sami'na  wa-ata'na  ghufran-ka rabb-na wa-'ilay-ka al-maseer. "The   Messenger has believed in the Guidance which has been revealed to him from his Lord and so do the Believers. They all believe in Allah, His angels, His books and His Messengers. They say we do not discriminate against anyone of His Messengers. And they say: 'We hear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, O   Lord; to You we shall   all return.  Allah does not burden any human   being   with more than he can bear.  Everyone will enjoy the credit of his deeds   and suffer the debits   of his evil-doings.' The believers say:

'Our Lord!  Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord!  Do not place on us a burden as You placed on those before us.  Our Lord! Lay not on us the kind of burden that we have no strength to bear.  Pardon us, Forgive us, Have mercy on us. You are our Protector, help us against the unbelievers. '" [Surah AI-Baqarah (2): 285-286]

From Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (radyAllahu ‘anhu), 'The Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said,

"Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah AIBaqarah at night, it will be sufficient for him." [1]- [2]

From Numan ibn Bashir (radhyAlldhu ‘anhu), 'that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said,

"Indeed Lord-Blessed and Exalted wrote in a book before He created the heavens and the earth with thou sand years, and revealed in it, two verses and (placed them  both)  at  the  end   of  Surah  al-Baqarah,  and  no one recites them  in a house except it distances Shaytan three nights."[3]

[1] About the meaning of the hadith that the sentence with these utterances are sufficient against the protection against Shaytan.

[2] Reported by Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

[3] Reported by Hakim in his Mustadrak.
