Know that the wordings of Adhkar are well-known, and Tarji` is a Sunnah. The meaning of Tarji` is to say: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar [Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest] then says in a low voice thereafter: Ash-hadu An La Ilaha Illa Allah, Ash-hadu An La Ilaha Illa Allah, Ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan Rasulullah [I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah]. Then, a muezzin says in a loud voice : Ash-hadu An La Ilaha Illa Allah, Ash-hadu An La Ilaha Illa Allah, Ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan Rasulullah [I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah].

Tathwib is also a Sunnah, and the meaning of Tathwib is to say in the Morning Salah after saying: "Hay `Ala Al Falah" As-Salah Khayrun Minan-Nawm As-Salah Khayrun Minan-Nawm [Salah is better than sleep, Salah is better than sleep]; many Hadiths were reported with Tarji` and Tathwib .

If a person abandons Tarji` and Tathwib, his Adhan shall be valid. It is not permissible for a child, a woman, a disbeliever to declare Adhan. However, grown up children [7 years old and more] may declare Adhan, but if a disbeliever pronounces Adhan and recites the testimony of faith, it is a declaration of faith according to the correct view. Some scholars said: It shall not be considered a declaration of faith.
