The scholar and the writer, Muhammad ibn `Abdur-Rahim Al Siddiqi was born in the city of Jubail - Saudi Arabia. He finished memorizing the Qur'an at the hand of his father and Sheikh Muhammad ibn Mani` who died in 1385 AH. Then he joined As-Sultiyyah school in Makkah then he joined the highest department of this school and graduated in 1362 AH. At that time, he used to attend some academic sessions in the Sacred Masjid then he became a supervisor of the teachers of the Sacred Masjid. He refused to be appointed as a chief of the Shari`ah courts of the Eastern region and prefered to be a teacher. In addition to his ample knowledge, he was a poet and a writer, and he was one of the founders of the Ta'if club for literature. He was known for loving of books and search, and he left many writings, of which: Hayat Al Qa'id Al A`zham Muhammad (peace be upon him), Wara` Al `Ulama', Multaqatat Ad-Durar Min Muntakhabat Al Fikr, Tanbih Al `Am wal Khas, Dalat Al Udaba' wa Bughyat Ash-Shu`ara' wal Khutaba', An-Nibras, Nafh Al Arij Min Ash`ar Udaba'il Khalij, moreover he had several messages including a message in the impermissibility of translating the Qur'an to foreign languages.
