Surat Maryam (9-10)

{قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئاً} (مريم: 9)

9- The angle answered Zachariah: Thus, your Lord says: Bringing a child from an old man and a barren woman is easy, and He created you before from nothing.

{قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيّاً} (مريم: 10)

10- Zachariah (peace be upon him) said: O my Lord, give me a sign for what You have promised me.

So, his Lord revealed to him: Your sign is not to speak to people three days and nights while you are sound and healthy in all your limbs.
