Episode (13) Al Bara' ibn Malik

A man from the Ansar [the Supporters] who was truthful about his pledge to Allah, so he lived and died for the glory of Islam. His motto was not the love of the world and building of palaces, but his motto was "Allah and Paradise."

His body was so thin, but his heart was big enough and was filled with courage, bravery, and the love of Allah and His Messenger.

He was known with truthfulness and sincerity.

He was generous and did not withhold anything he owned for anyone asks for money. He hold the principle of the Messenger of Allah: "Whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection."

• He participated in all battles and his biggest wish was to die as a martyr in the cause of Allah.

• Of his honorable positions was that he asked Muslims to carry him and throw him over the apostate crowds when they took shelter in a garden on the Battle of Al Yamamah. So, Muslims carried him and he throw himself of their crowds and kept fighting braverly until he killed ten of them and could open the gates of the garden then Muslims entered like lions and killed the apostates including Musaylamah.

• He passed away in the Battle of Tustur which was between Muslims and Persian may Allah be pleased with him and admit him to the abode of His Mercy and Pleasure.
