“On the day when He assembles them with all that they worship besides Allah, He will say: 'Was it you who misled My servants, or did they themselves go astray?

They will answer: 'Glory be to Yon. We should not have taken other guardians besides You. But You gave them and their fathers the good things of life, so that they forgot Your warning and thus became lost peoples.'”

[Surah: 25, Ayat: 17-18].

“Admonition; yet from their admonition they turn away.”

[Surah: 23, Ayat: 71].

“Have you seen him who has made gods of his own desires? Would you be held responsible over him?

Do you think that most of them can bear or understand? They are like cattle, and even more misguided.”

[Surah: 25, Ayat: 43- 44].

“Say: 'Bring down from Allah a scripture that Is a better guidance than these and I will follow it, if what you say be true!'

If they do not answer you, know that they are the slaves of their desires. And who is in greater error than the man who is led by his desires without guidance from Allah? Allah does not guide the evildoers.”

[Surah: 28, Ayat: 49-50].

“Indeed, the wrongdoers are led unwittingly by their own desires. And who can guide those whom Allah has led astray? There shall be none to help them.

[Surah: 30, Ayat: 29].

“And now, We have set you on the right path. Follow it and do not yield to the desires of ignorant men; for they in no way can protect you from (the wrath) of Allah. The wrongdoers are patrons to each other, but the righteous have Allah Himself for their patron.”

[Surah: 45, Ayat: 18-19].

“Do you see the man who makes his desire his god, the man whom Allah leaves in error, setting a seal upon his ears and heart and drawing a veil over his eyes? Who then can guide him after Allah (has withdrawn guidance)? Will you not take heed?”

[Surah: 45, Ayat: 23].

“Some of them indeed listen to you, but no sooner do they leave your presence then they ask those to whom knowledge has been given: 'What did he say just now?' Such are the men whose hearts are sealed by Allah and who follow their own desires.”

[Surah: 47, Ayat: 16].

“They are but names which you invented, you and your fathers: Allah has sent down no authority for them. They follow vain conjectures and the whims of their own souls, although the guidance of their Lord has come to them.

Is man to attain all that he desires? For to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the present life.”

[Surah: 53, Ayat: 23-25].
