What is to be said upon entering home

بِسْمِ الله – السَّلام عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ الله

Bismillah, As-Salâmu ‘Alaikum
It is desirable to mention the name of Allah saying: Bismillah. Then greeting his family because of Allah's Saying: "But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allâh (i.e. say: As-Salâmu ‘Alaikum — peace be on you), blessed and good." [Surat An-Nur: 61].

Anas ibn Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "Dear son, when you enter your house, say As-Salamu `Alaikum to your family, for it will be a blessing both to you and to your family."

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أسألُكَ خَيْرَ المَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَ المخرج، بسم الله ولجنا، وبسم اللَّهِ خَرَجْنا، وَعَلى اللَّهِ رَبِّنا تَوََكَّلْنا

Allahumma Inni As'aluka Khayra Al Mawliji Wa Khayra Al Makhraj, Bism Allah Walajna Wa Bism Allahi Kharajna Wa `Alallahi Rabbina Tawakkalna

Abu Malik Al Ash`ary (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When a man goes into his house, he should say: "Allahumma Inni As'aluka Khayra Al Mawliji Wa Khayra Al Makhraj, Bism Allah Walajna Wa Bism Allahi Kharajna Wa `Alallahi Rabbina Tawakkalna [O Allah! I ask You for good both when entering and when going out; in the name of Allah we have entered, and in the name of Allah we have gone out, and in Allah or Lord do we trust]." He should then greet his family .

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنا، وَبِسْمِ اللهِ خَرَجْنا، وَعَلى رَبِّنا تَوَكّلْنا .

Bism Allahi walajna, Wa Bism Allahi kharajna, Wa `Alallahi Rabbina Tawakkalna.

‘In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.’
