What is to be said when a person goes to masjid

"Allahumma ij`al Fi Qalbi Nura Wa Fi Basari Nura, Wa Fi Sam`i Nuran, Wa`an Yamini Nura, Wa`an Yasari Nura, Wa Fawqi Nura, Wa Tahti Nura, Wa Amami Nura, Wa Khalfi Nura, Waj`al Li Nura ."

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: One night I slept at the house of Maymunah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) woke up, answered the call of nature, washed his face and hands, and then slept. He got up (late at night), went to a water skin, opened the mouth thereof and performed ablution not using much water, yet he washed all the parts properly and then offered Salah. I got up and straightened my back in order that the Prophet (peace be upon him) might not feel that I was watching him, and then I performed the ablution, and when he got up to offer Salah, I stood on his left hand side. He caught hold of my ear and brought me over to his right side. He offered thirteen Rak`ahs in all and then lay down and slept till he started blowing out his breath as he used to do when he slept. In the meantime Bilal informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) of the approaching time for the (Fajr) Salah, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) offered the Fajr (Morning) Salah without performing new ablution . He used to say in his invocation, Allahumma ij`al Fi Qalbi Nura Wa Fi Basari Nura, Wa Fi Sam`i Nuran, Wa`an Yamini Nura, Wa`an Yasari Nura, Wa Fawqi Nura, Wa Tahti Nura, Wa Amami Nura, Wa Khalfi Nura, Waj`al Li Nura ."

What is to be said upon entering and leaving the Masjid

It is desirable to say: "A`udhu Billahi Al `Azhim Wa Biwajhihi Al Karim Wasultanihi Al Qadim Mina Al Shaytani Ar-Rajim, Al Hamdlillah Allahumma Salli `Ala Muhammadin Wa`la Ali Muhammad Allahumma Ighfir Li Dhnuby Waftah Li Abwaba Rahmatika"

[I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil. Praise be to Allah. O Allah, send peace and blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. O Allah, forgive my sins and open for me the gates of Your Mercy].

Then he should say: "Bismillah" and advances his right leg upon entering and his left leg upon leaving .

"When any of you enters the masjid he should invoke blessing on the Prophet (peace be upon him) and then he should say: "Allahumma iftah Li Abwaba Rahmatika" [O Allah, open to me the gates of thy mercy]. And when he goes out, he should say: "Allahumma Inni As'aluka Min Fadlika" [O Allah, I ask You out of Your Abundance].

Haywah ibn Shurayh reported: I met `Uqbah ibn Muslim and said to him: it has been reported to me that someone has narrated to you from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that when he entered the mosque, he would say: "A`udhu Billahi Al `Azhim Wa Biwajhihi Al Karim Wasultanihi Al Qadim Mina Al Shaytani Ar-Rajim" [I seek refuge in Allah, the Magnificent, and in His noble face, and in his eternal domain, from the accursed Devil]. He asked: Is it so much only ? I said: Yes. He said: when anyone says so. The devil says: He is protected from me all day long .
