Question

As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!)

I am engaged and I am going to be married within two months. What bothers me is that my fiancé neglects me and does not pay attention to me.

When he visits us, he sits only for an hour during which he plays with the kids and does not pay attention to me.

Could you kindly advise?

Answer

My dear sister, As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!).

Welcome to Alukah Network, I ask Allah to enlighten your insight and guide you to the way of truth.

It seems that your fiancé loves children very much and perhaps he plays with them to draw your attention that he loves children; why do not you share playing with the kids and caring for them with him instead of sitting watching him and wishing that he cares for you?!

Hasten to share his interests and he shall care for you when he finds you near him, and share all that interests him.

May Allah grant you success!
