Episode (6) Az-Zubayr ibn Al `Awwam

He grew up in a home that was entitled by honor and glory and its pillars are ancestry and high status . Safiyah reared him, so his heart was filled by bravery and boldness. he was Az-Zubayr ibn Al `Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him ) .

From where should I begin when talking about Az-Zubayr ibn Al `Awwam ? Should I start from the day of giving him glad tidings with Paradise or from the day when he migrated to Abyssinia then to Medina ? The brave knight, the apostle of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was born in Makkah in year 28 before Hijrah . He embraced Islam when he was young and one of the formers who embraced Islam .

Of the proofs on his bravery is that he was the first one to raise his sword in the cause of Allah when the people circulated the news about killing the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he raised his sword willing to fight the infidels, However, the Prophet (peace be upon him) met him and sent him back home after he had been pleased with his courage .

How could not he be brave and loyal while Hamzah is his maternal uncle, Safiyah is his mother , Asma' is his wife, and Muhammad (peace be upon him ) is his Prophet ?

The Messenger sent him to pursue the army of the polytheists on the Battle of Uhud so as to see the power of Muslims and do not thing to go back to Medina and resume fighting .

He participated in the Battle of Yarmouk and showed the best example in bravery and courage .

He was pious and of good manners .

He did not like to assume power for fear of falling into mistakes or harming any Muslim even an atom weight .

He was one of the six men whom `Umar chose to be a Caliph after him .

His life was a book full of the most truthful phrases and the bightest lines until he passed away .

May Allah be pleased with him and make his final destination Paradise ! May Allah reward him for Islam and Muslims the best .
