Lying

Indeed, lying is a bad habit that causes disgust to the pure hearts. Many people fabricate stories continuously for a personal interest, and they do not know what they are doing to themselves; they are dragging themselves to destruction by believing what they are doing is very useful.

That non-profitable lying is noticeable in our Muslim societies, especially the Arab societies because Muslims have lost the spirit of Islam —except those to whom Allah shows mercy— and there is nothing left except duties that we perform; whom we should please?

Do we perform them for the satisfaction of Allah or for the satisfaction of ourselves?

This is a proof to failure because by lying and untruthfulness no one can save even himself, how about others?

Of course this bad quality leads to others, and thus the society loses positive aspects, drift toward destruction, and the society becomes incapable of construction.

Of course, this matter is not natural, but it is a psychological disorder that man had brought up to and was imprinted in his mind since young age, so what would be the case when he grows up?! He has to change what he was brought up to through self-restrain and fighting temptations which are very difficult. However, a person who wants to change his past life to a successful life has to change from inside and tear up his bad habits that would cause him to go astray.
