Question

My father asked him to come with one of his relatives but my fiancé refused and went to my father's cousin and narrated to him what has happened and tried not to show up mistaken. After while, my father's cousin phoned us and said that he shall visit us alone without my fiancé. Does he prefer not to face the challenge or he is spineless?

Answer

Dear sister, welcome again.

Do not pay attention to small situations but look at the general image; why does he do that? Is there a justification for what he is doing? What is the opinion of your father's cousin in him?

The person who is spineless is the least person who can hide himself, so be apparent with yourself and seek the help of the people around you to form a clear image of him: How do his work colleagues, in the neighborhood, and in the club look at him? What about his brethren? What about his character at home? Is he the type of which people escape for he is antipathetic or spineless?

Pay attention to what is more important than spineless such as dodge, unclearness and so on. After that, take all the time you need to assess and evaluate him and ask about him because marriage is a decisive step and there is no need to rush it.

May Allah guide you to all types of goodness, and welcome again in Alukah.
