Qualities of the Jews

All praise be to Allah and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger."

Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikûn." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 82]. So, Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) informed us that the Jews are the most hostile to Muslims. Moreover, He informed us that they incite turmoil and wars against Muslims. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "We have put enmity and hatred amongst them till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allâh extinguished it; and they (ever) strive to make mischief on the earth. And Allâh does not like the Mufsidûn (mischief-makers)." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 64].

No body was safe from the evil of the Jews, but rather they insulted the Lord of the Worlds by attributing a son to Him. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And the Jews say: "'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allâh", and the Christians say: "Messiah is the son of Allâh". That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allâh's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!" [Surat At-Tawbah: 30].

Of their sayings: Verily, Allah is poor while we are rich. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Indeed, Allâh has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allâh is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)."" [Surat Al `Imran: 181].

By these terrible disbelieving words along with other actions such as attributing lies against Allah and blocking the way of Allah, they deserved Allah's Wrath and Curse until the Day of Recompense, and Allah punished them by turning them to monkeys and pigs. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Say (O Muhammad peace be upon him to the people of the Scripture): "Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allâh? Those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allâh and His Wrath, and those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 60].

Allah (Exalted be He) says: "And (remember) when your Lord declared that He would certainly keep on sending against them (i.e. the Jews), till the Day of Resurrection, those who would afflict them with a humiliating torment." [Surat Al A`raf: 167].

The Jews were famous of bad qualities which Allah mentioned about them in His Book. These qualities are deep-rooted in all the Jews until the Day of Recompense, and a Muslim should be careful of them.

Of which: Treachery, betrayal, and breaking of promises and compacts. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 13].

History witnesses for their breaking of promises and compacts; where they had broken their promises with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and tried to kill him more than once; at the end they put poison for him in the ewe and offered it as a gift to him. He chewed a lump of flesh then stayed several years suffering the effect of that poison. [1]

What is happening to our brothers in Palestine is the biggest witness on breaking of promises. Promises, compacts, and agreements are futile with the Jews, but they only know the language of power, therefore when they broke their agreement with the Prophet (peace be upon him), he besieged them and they applied the ruling of Sa`d who commanded that the fighters should be killed, women and the offspring to be taken as slaves, and money is divided among Muslims. Thereupon, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, you have judged in them with the ruling of Allah." [2]

Of their bad attributes is that they are the killers of Prophets (peace be upon him). They killed John the Baptist, Zechariah, and other Prophets and Messengers. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men; they have drawn on themselves the Wrath of Allâh, and destitution is put over them. This is because they disbelieved in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and killed the Prophets without right. This is because they disobeyed (Allâh) and used to transgress beyond bounds (in Allâh's disobedience, crimes and sins)." [Surat Al `Imran: 112].

Imam Ahmad reported in his Musnad on the authority of `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The most grievously tormented man on the Day of Recompense is a man who is killed by a Prophet or killed a Prophet." [3]

Of their bad attributes is their disobedience to Allah, their aggression against the people, and that they do not stop doing deniable actions. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dâwûd (David) and 'Isâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. * They used not to forbid one another from Al-Munkar (wrong, evil-doing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 78 - 79].

of which: Eating up people's money falsely. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And you see many of them (Jews) hurrying towards sin and transgression, and eating illegal things [as bribes and Ribâ (usury)]. Evil indeed is that which they have been doing. * Why do not the rabbis and the religious learned men forbid them from uttering sinful words and from eating illegal things. Evil indeed is that which they have been performing." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 62 - 63].

Therefore, the Jews are eager to control banks and the world economy to control the fate of nations and peoples.

Of which also: Withholding knowledge which Allah commanded them to deliver. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "(And remember) when Allâh took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) to make it (the news of the coming of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And indeed worst is that which they bought." [Surat Al `Imran: 187]. Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) informed us that they conceal knowledge because they do not like to show it to the people for a transient worldly benefit.

Of which: Envy. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even after the truth (that Muhammad peace be upon him is Allâh's Messenger) has become manifest to them. But forgive and overlook, till Allâh brings His Command. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things." [Surat Al Baqarah: 109].

Of which: Severe cowardice to fight Muslims in battlefields. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "They fight not against you even together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Their enmity among themselves is very great. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people who understand not." [Surat Al Hashr: 14].

Allah (Exalted be He) says: "They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; and if they fight against you, they will show you their backs, and they will not be helped." [Surat Al `Imran: 111].

Ibn Kathir said: This is truly happened on the Battle of Khaybar when Allah humiliated the Jews of Khaybar as He did with the Jews of Medina: Banu Qaynuqa`, Banu An-Nadir, and Banu Qurayzhah." [4]

The greatest witness on that from reality is that you see the Palestinian child, who holds a stone, fighting the armed Jewish soldiers who escape out of fear for their lives.

Of their bad attributes is spreading corruption on earth, drugs, alcohol, adultery, and vices in peoples because they are vice traders, brokers of prostitution, and controllers of media by its multiple satellite channels which spread porno movies, disbelief as well as atheism, and incite doubts in Muslims in regard to their creed and religion. They always seek to spread corruption on earth by all possible means, and Allah has said the truth when He says: "And they (ever) strive to make mischief on the earth. And Allâh does not like the Mufsidûn (mischief-makers)." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 64].

Of which: They are the keenest to life. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Say to (them): "If the home of the Hereafter with Allâh is indeed for you specially and not for others, of mankind, then long for death if you are truthful." * But they will never long for it because of what their hands have sent before them (i.e. what they have done). And Allâh is All-Knower of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers). * And verily, you will find them (the Jews) the greediest of mankind for life and (even greedier) than those who ascribe partners to Allâh (and do not believe in Resurrection - Majûs (magus), pagans, and idolaters). Everyone of them wishes that he could be given a life of a thousand years. But the grant of such life will not save him even a little from (due) punishment. And Allâh is All-Seer of what they do." [Surat Al Baqarah: 94 - 96].

The meaning of the Ayahs is:  If you deem that you are Awliya' (pious people) for Allah unlike the people and you are the children and beloved ones of Allah, or you are one of the dwellers of Paradise and others are from the inmates of Hell, so invoke Allah against the liars. Moreover, you have to know that invoking Allah against the liars eradicates them. When they were sure of that and knew his truthfulness, they refused to invoke Allah against the lairs because they knew their lie, falsity, and concealment of the truth about the Prophet's descriptions because they knew him as they knew their children. It was called Al Mubahalah because the one who has the right wishes that Allah would destroy his rivals. The top of Al Mubahalah was death, therefore it was mentioned in the Qur'an as the ultimate goal because life is very precious to them as they know their bad end; moreover they are more keen than the polytheists for life; may Allah curse them consecutively until the Day of Recompense. [5]

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If they had wished death, they would have died even by their saliva." He also said: "If the Jews had wished death, they would have died." [6]They accused Allah of miserliness, may Allah kill them all. When the following Ayah was revealed: "Who is he that will lend Allâh a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allâh that decreases or increases (your provisions), and to Him you shall return." [Surat Al Baqarah: 245].

They said: O Muhammad, your Lord has become poor to ask His Servants for a loan?

So, Allah punished them with the same quality. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 64].

Therefore, Jews are from the most miser people and the least in spending. They also accused Allah of humiliation. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men." [Surat Al `Imran: 112].

Ibn Jarir At-Tabary said: Allah prescribed humiliation on the Jews who have denied Muhammad (peace be upon him) wheresoever they were. "Except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allâh, and from men." under a covenant from Allah and from the people which protects themselves from the believers and protects their properties and children before they are caught in the Muslim countries.[7]

Now, they are under the protection of the American Christians and they live in humiliation even if they own the nuclear weapons, fighters, and advanced tanks; and even if they have the super military power over Muslims. "And Allâh has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not." [Surat Yusuf: 21].

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds [i.e., people]. and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
