In the company of the Qur'an

"Verily, (many) Messengers were denied before you (O Muhammad peace be upon him), but with patience they bore the denial, and they were hurt till Our Help reached them, and none can alter the Words (Decisions) of Allâh. Surely there has reached you the information (news) about the Messengers (before you). * If their aversion (from you, O Muhammad peace be upon him and from that with which you have been sent) is hard for you, (and you cannot be patient with their harm to you), then if you were able to seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder to the sky, so that you may bring them a sign (and you cannot do it, so be patient). And had Allâh willed, He could have gathered them together (all) on true guidance, so be not you one of those who are Al-Jâhilûn (the ignorant)." [Surat Al An`am: 34 - 35].

The content of these two Ayahs is almost conspicuous from the first reading: The first Ayah speaks about the inevitable result for the conflict between the Messengers and human beings, which resulted in getting rid of the clutches of polytheism.

The target of that round is to get rid of the clutches of polytheism and showing them that the real source of power, despite its shapes and degrees, is one.

However, this result can easily be reached by natural disposition, the journey of man to reach this fact is hard and full of error which covers man's insight to see this fact.

So, a person is fascinated by pride and his mental ability believing that it can make him independent from the universe from which he is a part.

Moreover, he believes that the scientific discoveries, which should lead to submission to the greatness of the Creator, will lead to the opposite. So, he will be the controller of the universe and its norms.

Allah the Great has said the truth when He described that transcendent look saying: "Verily, those who dispute about the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad peace be upon him) as a Messenger of Allâh and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allâh has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allâh (O Muhammad peace be upon him from the arrogants). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. * The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not." [Surat Ghafir: 56 - 57].

The heart of a person is covered by his inability to imagine the divine power, his self is unable to get rid of dirt, and he remains fastened to lower powers which he takes as a bridge to gain the satisfaction of the higher power among other means of polytheism which all Messengers came to eliminate on the basis that polytheism is servitude and limitation to the freedom of man in favor of powers that do not have benefit or harm to him.

A person, in whose heart monotheism lives, looks to the entire universe as just relationships that do not have power over the universe, hence he treats them with suitable methods: because he has full certainty in the power of Allah.

This result, which a person should reach by his natural disposition if he has pure intention, is what Allah (may He be Exalted) meant by His Saying: "Allâh has decreed: "Verily, it is I and My Messengers who shall be the victorious." Verily, Allâh is All-Powerful, All-Mighty." [Surat Al Mujadalah: 21].

Indeed, the message of monotheism will be victorious no matter how far it will be and no matter how many sacrifices are.

By discussing these two Ayahs, we want to tell Muslims —in regard of the doctrinal invasion and what has been said about the independence of scientific approach from religion— that those two Ayahs contain a clear example to this lie and that Islam is originally based on the union between scientific thinking and the creed; moreover this type of thinking is one of the sound components of creed.

The proof to that is these two Ayahs speak about the words of Allah i.e., its laws and norms, of which: is that the calls of the Messengers to reform require facing the stubbornness, belying, and harming people like all the people who want to fight rehabilitation.

Observing patience in these situations is imperative, but narrowness of the chest and attaching by a decisive action from Allah even if it is in His Power, is out of the universal norms and laws. Thinking that Allah will change these laws because of you is part of ignorance.

The correct view is to believe that human life should be looked at as a whole not as individual solutions and their role in this life is unconditioned by the victory of the truth at their hands.

However, that role may be just a small contribution along with thousands of visible and invisible contributions which form the current that finally will lead to the general objective, which is full subjugation to the things which Allah created for us in this world in light of a solid belief that there is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him and along with the complete faith in Allah, His Angels, Scriptures, and Messengers.

The two Ayahs explain that the message of the Prophets even if they are charged by Allah to convey the message, but it subjects to the universal laws.

It is not permissible for a Messenger to depend on the power of Allah to subjugate all people to believe in Him, otherwise there will be no need to deliver the message in the first place.

Moreover, sending the Messengers as bearers of good news and warners is a message to us that everything even His Message to the people subject to the laws and norms of the world.

How to be said that science has a different approach than religion?!

Dear Muslim, your creed does not only allow you to release your thoughts, but also describes those ideas, which connect you with irrational thinking, as acts of ignorance.

When a person possesses a firm faith, confusion disappears and certainty replaces doubts.
