The Accounts (1)

A display of approaching Allah Almighty for judgement, reckoning and displaying them

What a great position it is. After relieving people of worry and sorrow and after the Prophet (peace be upon him) interceded for them, Allah Almighty made it clear for us the display of the reckoning and who will attend it. Ponder upon who will attend it. Allah Almighty said:

﴿ وَأَشْرَقَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ﴾

“And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged.”  [Al Zumar: 69]

And He said :

﴿ هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلا أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي ظُلَلٍ مِنَ الْغَمَامِ وَالْمَلائِكَةُ وَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ ﴾ 

“Do they await but that Allah should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allah [all] matters are returned.” [Al Baqara: 210]

Allah knows best about the way of this approach. We believe in it with the best view as it is important for us (to believe in) the dignity of His face and the greatness of His authority. The earth lights up because of His approach. The angels come with the books of reckoning that they performed in words and actions in detail so that they can be proof for them. What a great moment it is filled with dignity prestige. They will display them by pages:

 ﴿ وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ﴾

“And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank” [Al Fajr: 22]

Picture your situation when you are looking at the results of your deeds, knowing that these books have every big and small (deeds) so may (Allah) have mercy on you…how negligent we are:

 ﴿ وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ فَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَا وَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَـٰذَا الْكِتَابِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّا أَحْصَاهَا ۚ وَوَجَدُوا مَا عَمِلُوا حَاضِرًا ۗ وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا ﴾

“And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say, "Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it?" And they will find what they did present [before them]. And your Lord does injustice to no one.” [Al Kahf: 49]

I add to this: the Prophets PBUT will also witness this moment and ask about the trust that Allah entrusted upon them. The details of this will follow and will be displayed by the grace of Allah Almighty, for the rows of reckoning as well:

﴿ وَعُرِضُوا عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًا ﴾

“And they will be presented before your Lord in rows, [and He will say], "You have certainly come to Us just as We created you the first time. But you claimed that We would never make for you an appointment” [Al Kahf: 48]

Because of the horrors, the communities will fall to their knees when people are called for (their) reckoning because of the greatness of what they witness. What a nervous and horrible moment!

﴿ وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰ إِلَىٰ كِتَابِهَا الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴾

“And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.” [Al Jathiya: 28]

Go off to your imaginary thoughts. Picture the spans of this awful moment…My situation and yours in it. May our Lord have mercy on you. It is the moment for
