complete justice (2)

everything that is being accounted for is written and counted

Allah Almighty said:

“And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers. Noble and recording. They know whatever you do” [Al Infitar: 10-12]

Allah Almighty said:

“And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say, "Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it?" And they will find what they did present [before them]. And your Lord does injustice to no one.” [Al Kahf: 49]

• The third principle: nobody shall carry the burden of anyone else

Nobody will be blamed for anybody else’s errors or sins. The wrongdoer is wronging themselves. Nobody carries their wrongdoing as long as they are not responsible for it or cause it. Allah Almighty said:

“And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open. [It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant." Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.” [Al Isra: 13-15]

This principle has been agreed upon in the Shariah. Allah Almighty said:

“Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses. And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations]. That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives. And that his effort is going to be seen. Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense” [Al Najm: 36-41]

-If it is said: will not those who were called to error take similar to the sins of those who wronged them so that they carry a similar burden to the burden of whoever follows him with his weight?

The answer: yes. May Allah bless you. (You’re) saying of this is a virtue. Allah Almighty said:

“But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.” [Al Ankaboot: 13]

And he said:

“That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.” [Al Nahl: 25]

What is meant by this: whoever invites people to wrongdoing, committing a sin, guiding people to it and being a reason for (commiting) it

Proof to that: the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) with Muslim that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.”[1]

There is the Hadith of Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who sets a good precedent in Islam, there is a reward for him for this (act of goodness) and reward of that also who acted according to it subsequently, without any deduction from their rewards”[2]
