The necessity of caring for the methods and the ways of defending Allah, His Book, and His Prophet (peace be upon him)

All praise be to Allah alone, and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad.

In reference to the systematic abuses of Western newspapers against the Prophet (peace be upon him) which have become a method to defy Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) and His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), an unknown French Magazine declared on Wednesday that it sold about 150 thousand copies of their cartoon editions about the Prophet which equals fourfold of their regular publications.

I say: The announcement of that mean newspaper -which is struggling to survive and avoid bankruptcy, and which is owned by Jewish shareholders- demonstrates the methodology adopted by the referred to newspaper. This methodology explains that those people have a systematic way of abuse that depends on the inducement of the way of thinking and how to deal with the public.

This imposes upon us, Muslims, to reconsider the methods of confronting abuses and slanders against the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), against the Qur'an, and against Islam in general.

Allah (Glory be to Him) explained to us in the Qur'an the psychology of those denying opponents of Islam when He said: "We know indeed the grief which their words cause you (O Muhammad peace be upon him): it is not you that they deny, but it is the Verses (the Quran) of Allah that the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) deny." [Surat Al An`am: 33].

We should know that Allah (Glory be to Him) has explained in His Glorious Book a number of opponents' objectives and explained to us the methods which we should adopt, as Allah (Glory be to Him) said: "You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allâh; but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs (and that is from the great matters which you must hold on with all your efforts)." [Surat Al `Imran: 186].

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islamic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Ilah (God) and your Ilah (God) is One (i.e. Allah), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims)."" [Surat Al `Ankabut: 46]. In addition to other Ayahs which scholars have to read and explain their significance.

Our duty is to re-design and re-arrange the ideas of defending Allah, His Book, and His Prophet in terms of the following:

1- Those liars know for sure that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was truthful about his Prophethood.

2- Most non-Muslims around the world estimated by six billions either they do not know the Prophet (peace be upon him) truly or that the reputation of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was defamed in their eyes. So, our duty is to plan properly to reach them, show them the truth, and argue with them in different methods.

3- Beware of indulging into their field, but we are the one who specify time, place, and method. We should avoid provocation and rushing.

4- Everyone should do his role in defending the Prophet (peace be upon him) according to the divine direction mentioned in Allah's Saying: "So, those who believe in him (Muhammad peace be upon him), honor him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur'ân) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be the successful." [Surat Al A`raf: 157].

Allah is the Only One sought for help for He is Sufficient for us and the best Trustee. May Allah send peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad!
