Cogent proofs that the Qur'an is Allah's speech

Dear valued readers, let me start my speech with this nice story entitled: "One of the Western scientists wanted to search for defects in the Qur'an, see what he had found."

Read the entire story and you shall find amazing things:

The story of Dr. Miller: He was a math scientist, therefore he liked logical coherence. One day he wanted to read the Qur'an with the purpose of finding some mistakes in that old book written 14 hundred years ago. However, he was stunned by a great sign which was Allah's Saying: "Do they not then consider the Qur'ân carefully? Had it been from other than Allâh, they would surely have found therein many a contradiction." [Surat An-Nisa': 82].

Dr. Miller said about this Ayah:

Of the well-known scientific principles in the present time is the principle of finding errors or searching for errors in theories until they are proven to be true which is called Falsification test.

It is amazing that the Glorious Qur'an calls Muslims and non-Muslims as well to find errors and challenged them to find any error. There is no author in the world writes a book then has the guts to say: "This book is error free"  but the Qur'an is on the contrary. It says to you: "There is no error" and calls you to ponder over its Ayahs to find errors, then it says: "You shall not find any." What is the secret of this power which the sayer of this speech uses? There is no human can speak with this confidence and guts.

Of the stories which amazed Dr. Miller is the story of the Prophet (peace be upon him) with his uncle Abu Lahab. Dr. Miller said: Abu Lahab used to hate Islam severely to the extent that he used to follow Muhammad wherever he went to mock at him and cast doubts in his words. Ten years before the death of Abu Lahab, a Surah called Al Masad which reads as follows was revealed: "Perish the two hands of Abû Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet) and perish he! * His wealth and his children will not benefit him! * He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! * And his wife, too, who carries wood (thorns of Sa'dân which she used to put on the way of the Prophet peace be upon him, or used to slander him). * In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fiber)." [Surat Al Masad: 1 - 5]. This Surah confirmed that Abu Lahab shall enter Hell-Fire and shall not become a Muslim.

Ten years were enough to Abu Lahab to say before people that Muhammad said that I shall not become a Muslim and I shall enter Hell-Fire. Here I am declare to you that I embrace Islam, but Abu Lahab did not do so although his actions were contradictory to Muhammad.

It is as if the story says that Muhammad said to Abu Lahab: "You hate me and want to belie me and get rid of me, so I shall give you the chance to annul my words." However, he did not do so, for he did not embrace Islam or even pretended to be a Muslim despite he had the chance -during full ten years- to destroy Islam with one word.

For sure, this is not the speech of Muhammad, but it is the speech of the one who knows the unseen, who knows that Abu Lahab shall not become a Muslim.

What do you think now? Is Muhammad truthful or not? Did he recieve a divine inspiration or not? If this Qur'an is not a revelation from Allah, how did Muhammad know that Abu Lahab shall apply what came in the Surah precisely? If he was not sure that it was a divine revelation, how could he be sure during ten years that he said the truth? Now I can say: If a person was able to set that dangerous challenge, surely the Qur'an must be a divine revelation from Allah.

Dr. Miller said about this Ayah: "Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 82]: "Of the Qur'anic unseen miracles is the setting challenge for future incidents which man cannot predict. The Qur'an says that the Jews are the strongest among people in enmity to Muslims which is continuous until our present day. This is a great challenge because the Jews had the chance to demolish Islam with a simple matter which is: Treating Muslims nicely for some years then say: Here we are treating you nicely, whereas the Qur'an says we are your strongest enemies, then the Qur'an is wrong. But that did not happen during 1400 years and shall not happen because these are the words of the one who knows the Unseen." Likewise, the Qur'an says about the Jews: "Say to (them): "If the home of the Hereafter with Allâh is indeed for you specially and not for others, of mankind, then long for death if you are truthful." * But they will never long for it because of what their hands have sent before them (i.e. what they have done)." [Surat Al Baqarah: 94 - 95]. This means that the Jews shall never hope for death because they know the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad and their falsehood. So, this Ayah is a proof to the miraculuosness of the Glorious Qur'an and proves they are the words of Allah who knows the unseen. The Qur'an asked them to wish death but despite their ability to do so, they did not wish it although their keenness to belie Muhammad and slander the Qur'an.

Dr. Miller embraced Islam and became a caller to Allah, we ask Allah to make him firm on faith in this world and in the next.

Of the signs indicating the miraculuosness of the Glorious Qur'an is that Allah challenged polytheists with it, but they failed to bring something of the like although it is composed of their own language. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'ân) to Our slave (Muhammad peace be upon him), then bring a Sûrah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allâh, if you are truthful." [Surat Al Baqarah: 23]. If you fail to achieve this while you are the people of eloquence, you know that other people shall fail to bring something of the like. Then Allah said to them: "But if you do it not, and you can never do it." [Surat Al Baqarah: 24]. As for Allah's Saying: "and you can never do it," it contains arousal to their interests and moving to their souls; this is one of the unseen matters which the Qur'an informed people before they take place. This is a proof that the Qur'an is a divine revelation from Allah then Allah declared it publically to human and Jinn in a magnificent challenge that will remain until the Day of Recompense. "Say: If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this Qur'ân, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another." [Surat Al Isra': 88].

The Glorious Qur'an says about the battle which took place between the Persian and the Romans in which the Romans were defeated: "The Romans have been defeated. * In the nearer land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious. * Within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allah, (before the defeat of Romans by the Persians, and after, i.e. the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that Day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allah to the Romans against the Persians), * With the help of Allah, He helps whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. * (It is) a Promise of Allâh (i.e. Allâh will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allâh fails not in His Promise, but most of men know not." [Surat Ar-Rum: 2 - 6]. Here a person may wonder: "How could Muhammad predict the result of a battle that will take place within several years although the Romans -as the books of history said- were in the weakest condition of deterioration and collapse after their defeat?" What made him jeopardize the issue of religion without being asked about such matter? Moreover, he confirms the news with his saying: "(It is) a Promise of Allâh (i.e. Allâh will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allâh fails not in His Promise" [Surat Ar-Rum: 6]. What would happen if the Qur'an was not truthful in every single word it said? However, the sayer is Allah and the doer is Allah who only can achieve what he says and does whatever He wills in the time He wills.

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)." [Surat Al Hijr: 9]. Allah also says about the Qur'an: "Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it: (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise (Allâh Exalted and Sublime)." [Surat Fussilat: 42]. By Allah, who among people dares to say such words then fulfills his promise? Is there someone of humans guarntees what will happen after one hour except Allah? It is simple, the one who said it is the one who preserved it.

Allah (Glory be to Him) said to His Prophet: "Allâh will protect you from mankind." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 67]. Before the revelation of this Ayah, Muslims used to walk around the Prophet (peace be upon him) to protect him everywhere he went to the extent that they used to guard him in turn while he was asleep. When this Ayah was revealed at night, he asked his Companions to leave. When they asked him about the reason, He said to them: "Allah has protected me." It is impossible that such action comes from a regular person unless he is confident of Allah's Promise.

Scholar Barthelemy Heller said: "When Allah promised His Messenger with protection by His Saying: "Allâh will protect you from mankind." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 67], the Prophet dismissed his guards, and a person cannot decieve himself, so if there was another source to this Qur'an other than heaven, Muhammad would not have dismissed his guards.

Allah (Glory be to Him) said to His Prophet Muhammad about hypocrites: "And when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting wherewith Allâh greets you not, and say within themselves: Why should Allâh punish us not for what we say?" [Surat Al Mujadalah: 8].

Before I speak about the miraculousness of this Ayah, we have to bear in mind that Muhammad said that the Qur'an is the words of Allah which its recitation is part of worship until the Day of Recompense. It will remain unchanged and unaltered and no body will dare to touch or distort it, hence this speech shall be an argument against Muhammad. If the Qur'an mentioned something then it has become clear that it is not correct, that will be demolition to the entire religion. Despite the danger of this matter, the Qur'an comes to say: "And say within themselves: "Why should Allâh punish us not for what we say?"" The Qur'an here says to the enemies of Muhammad -who care much for demoliting Islam: "I shall inform you of what is in your hearts and what is uttered by your lips."

It was enough for them -to belie Muhammad is- to say: "We have never though of this" and thereby they would announce to people that Muhammad is telling lies. However, they were stunned that the Qur'an exposed what was in their hearts, so they could not answer and did not do anything but hid from people's eyes after it had exposed their reality. If the Qur'an had been revealed by someone other than Allah, it would have not reached into the human soul which no science could reach.

Of future matters about which the Qur'an informed is Allah's Saying giving glad tidings to His Prophet that he would enter Makkah victorious: "Verily, He Who has given you (O Muhammad peace be upon him) the Quran (i.e. ordered you to act on its laws and to preach it to others) will surely bring you back to the Ma'ad (place of return, either to Makkah or to Paradise after your death, etc.)." [Surat Al Qasas: 85]. It means: He shall bring you back to Makkah as He commanded you to leave. Allah also says: "Indeed, Allâh shall fulfil the true vision which He showed to His Messenger (peace be upon him) [i.e. the Prophet peace be upon him saw a dream that he has entered Makkah along with his Companions, having their (head) hair shaved and cut short] in very truth. Certainly, you shall enter Al-Masjid-al-Harâm, if Allâh wills, secure, (some) having your heads shaved, and (some) having your head hair cut short, having no fear. He knew what you knew not, and He granted before that a near victory." [Surat Al Fath: 27].

Likewise, Allah's Saying: "Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs." [Surat Al Qamar: 45].

This Ayah was revealed in Makkah while Muslims were few in number, humble, and in the weakest condition and could not protect themselves. Then the Qur'an predicts that Islam shall become victorious and those people who assembled to fight Islam in Makkah shall be defeated and run away. Such speech could not be uttered by anyone at that time with that certainty except in one case which is: The revealer of the Qur'an is sure that the matter would be so in the future and was able to do so, for the one who said it is the Abler who knows the future.

See also Allah's Saying to His Prophet Muhammad about the Jews: "So Allâh will suffice for you against them." [Surat Al Baqarah: 137].

It means that He shall protect you from their evil because Allah alone is All-Hearing to their voices, and the All-Knowing of what they plot. Indeed, Allah stopped their mockery and evil and provided them with victory until some of polytheists were defeated, some were captured, and some were scattered. That was one of the miracles of the Glorious Qur'an which was telling future events before they take place.

Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their ownselves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth." [Surat Fussilat: 53].

Let us inquire fairly and say: "Who can say such words then achieves what He said except the Creator of the entire universe (Glorified and Exalted be He)?

We say it clearly: The one who created is the one who said. For example, Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness." [Surat Yasin: 37]. Professor Yoshiodi Kozan, Director of the observatory of Tokyo: "I say, I am very much impressed by finding true astronomical facts in Qur'an, and for us modern astronomers have been studying very small piece of the universe. We have concentrated our efforts for understanding of very small part. Because by using telescopes, we can see only very few parts of the sky without thinking about the whole universe. So by reading Qur'an and by answering to the questions, I think I can find my future way for investigation of the universe." This confirms Allah's Saying: "Say: "It (this Qur'ân) has been sent down by Him (Allâh) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth." [Surat Al Furqan: 6].

As for the Orientalist writer "Goethe" who was one of the enemies of Islam, he said in his book: "East Diwan of a Western poet": "The Qur'an is not the word of human beings, because if we deny being the word of God, it means that we consider Muhammad the God!"
