Hajj a step toward one nation

On the third day of Dhul-Hijjah, last year, Allah facilitated my first visit to Makkah to perform Hajj. It was indescribable happiness that your eyes could not conceal and a feeling of comfort that is indescribable in such place. I was going to Hajj like any other pilgrim and soon I benefited a lot from that journey, and I would like to convey these benefits to those whom I love.

Hajj is a journey that is repeated every year. It contains enough evidence to the possibility that the Islamic nation could practically be one nation in spite of the borders which colonialists implanted as a result of the weakness of the nation and the missing of caliphate (temporarily) but you find people there one nation.

At the religious level, all the people come in response to the call of "whoever is able to undertake the journey to it," to circumambulate, pray, and beseech Allah. In `Arafah, they assemble and stay in one place to perform the same rites, and they also leave together.

At the cultural level, you find lessons, lectures, booklets, and cognitive leaflets in different languages everywhere. You find people who mix up with other people and get to know the habits and customs of one another.

At the social level, I do not know a place or a time in which people gather from all over the world like Makkah during the season of Hajj. In Makkah, people stand together in devotional society to breeze the breath of goodness. You find the white and the black, the tall and the short, the distant and the near in one line, living together in intimacy, love, harmony all the days of Hajj. You can find a unique model of social solidarity, where you find the people of goodness expand the ways of goodness before the visitors of the Ka`bah during Hajj to the extent that food becomes excess and surplus.

At the economical level, you find in spite of the different needs, tastes, and inclinations, that there is popularity in buying and selling in this season increasingly. Moreover, Hajj is a season for what is so-called religious tourism in the country of the Two Sacred Mosques which incomparable in any other place.

At the security level, you find all these millions of people enjoy security and safety, and I advise the security people to do their job efficiently and serve pilgrims as much as they can.

All these practically indicate that the origin of the Islamic nation is one nation. Allah (Glory be to Him) said: "Truly, this, your Ummah [Shari'ah or religion (Islâmic Monotheism)] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone)." [Surat Al Anbiya': 92].

The one who ponders over this Ayah shall see the way in which this nation be one nation again. After the Lord said: "Truly, this, your Ummah [Shari'ah or religion (Islâmic Monotheism)] is one religion." He said: "And I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone)." By this worship, the nation becomes one nation as long as we believe in Allah and we do not associate anything with Him in worship and act according to that faith. In the season of Hajj, we become one nation where we all assemble under Allah's Saying: "And I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone)." So, we gained this result: "Truly, this, your Ummah [Shari'ah or religion (Islâmic Monotheism)] is one religion."

Despite the tries of some disobedient people from inside the nation along with the enemies of the nation from outside to keep the nation scattered by borders and countries, the promise of Allah shall, no doubt, come true. An-Nu`man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Prophethood will be amongst you as long as Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) wishes, then He will lift it up when He wishes to lift it up. Then there will be Caliphate on the way of the Prophethood (Khilafat-e-Rashidah) and it will be as long as Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) wishes, then Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) will lift it up when He wishes to lift it up. Then there will be Inheritance Rule (Kings Rule), and it will last as long as Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) wishes, then Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) will lift it up when He wishes to lift it up. Then there will be Coercive Rule (Dictatorships), and it will last as long as Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) wishes, then Allah (Glorified and exalted be He) will lift it up when He wishes to lift it up. Then there will be Caliphate on the way of Prophethood. Then he (Prophet peace be upon him) remained silent." [Al Albany graded it as good].

Despite their wicked plots, the Islamic nation will be united one day and people shall come out to Hajj from their countries without any borders or barriers, and they shall return to their homes without being bothered by their borders and barriers and again they shall become one nation.
