What do You know about Good Character?

Verily, a father asked this question to his children and their answer was as follows:

One of the children said, “Oh father good character is having a cheerful face, and spending in charity, and honoring ciders, and being gentle to the children."

The second child said, "Actually, good character is to suppress one's anger, and to save others from harm."

The  third  child  said,  "The  one  who  has good  character   is the  one  who does  not hate others,  but  rather  he loves good  for all of the people."

At  this  point   the   daughter  said,  "Oh father,  verily good  character, as  I see  it, is staying  away from the forbidden things,  and  doing  the  noble  deeds. Is this not so father?"

The father laughed and said, "All of you have answered correctly my children. All

Of the meanings that you all have mentioned are sample portions of the complete answer. Good character is kindness, charity, cheerfulness, and respect for elders. Likewise, it is that you do not become angry, jealous, or hateful. It is showing gentleness with children. Good character likewise is staying away from the forbidden things, and doing the noble deeds.”

Good character is simply: Every beautiful deed that you do, and every ugly deed that you avoid.

Do you know what good character is? This is what I hope for from Allah, the Most High, and this is what I desire.
