Allah the All-Seeing

(Praise belongs to Allah, the All-Seeing, the witness, the reckoner of judgement, the most praiseworthy, the Most Beautiful, the All-Glorious, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner, He does what He wills and judges what He wants, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, a worshiper, a seeker of forgiveness, a repentant, an ascetic of patches of clothing, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions.).

So, I advise you and myself to fear Allah and to struggle against vain desire. So beautify worship, continue monitoring yourself, confer honour upon you to get close to Allah the Blessed and Exalted, who does not forbid from the permissible pleasure and legal enjoyment of this world. But protect a believer from the things which can be harmful now or later. "and fear Allah, and be assured that Allah is watchful of what you do" [Al-Baqarah: 233].

Servants of the Most Merciful:

In the gathering of remembrance of Allah, we feel the glorification of Allah. Our Imaan (belief in Allah)increases. Our sins and disobediences are expiated. And the plots of Satan are weakened particularly when the remembrance is related to Allah, the Almighty.

Today our discussion is about one of the names of Allah the Almighty. Let us cool our tongues with the names of Allah whenever we sense it, our belief in Allah, in our hearts, increases and its benefits emerge in doing righteous acts and avoiding evil actions. Our discussion is about the name of Allah, Al- Baseer (the All-Seeing).

A name that has been repeated in the Qur’an in more than forty places. The Almighty said "God is all-hearing, all-seeing" (An-Nisa’: 58) And Almighty said:"And God sees what they do".(Al-Baqarah: 96.).

And Ahlus-Sunnah (Adherents to the Sunnah) prove to Allah the Almighty what He affirmed for Himself and what His Messenger (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)affirmed for Him. what is befitting for Him, without proving analogy, likening, shap and inactivity as He said about HimSelf "there is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing" (Al-Shura: 11).

Al-Saadi said: Al-Baseer(the All-Seeing) means: One who encompasses his sight with all visible objects in the earth and the heavens even He observes what is hidden between them, and he sees the crawling of the black ant on the deaf rock in the night, and all its internal and external organs, and the processing of food in its minor organs, and He sees the flowing of water in the branches and veins of trees and all kinds of pants with their smallness and accuracy..." To the end...,.( may Allah have mercy on him, (Al Haqqul Mubeen: p. 35).

Servants of the Most Merciful:

The name Al-Basir has another meaning mentioned by some scholars, which is that he is the one who has insight into things and he is well-versed and aware of their innermost. His actions like giving life, death, wealth, poverty, health, disease, and others are on based wisdom, mercy, insight and complete knowledge, as He said: "Should Allah expand the provision for His servants (to its full extent), they would spread mischief on earth; but He sends down what He wills in (due) measure. Surely, about His slaves, He is All-Aware, Ever-Watchful." (Al-Shura:27) And He also said: "Surely, He is All-Aware of His servants, All-Seeing"(Al-Israa: 30).

So, think well of Allah and accept His division.

Servants of Allah:

And to believe in the name of Allah and seeing it leads the believer to do acts of obedience. Meditate on the words of Allah He said: "And be steadfast in Salah (prayer), and give Zakah. Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. Certainly, Allah is watchful of what you do".(Al-Baqarah: 110).

He is All-Seeing. He sees you. He hears you whenever you call upon Him, glorify Him and perform Salah for Him. He sees you when you stop your car to remove a box, infidels or iron from the road of Muslims. He sees you when you lower the lights of your high car from your brothers. He sees your effort and sincerity in your work even though the President did not mention your name with honourable people in the ceremony. He sees you when you put your quilt aside and go to His house in response to a call for prayer.

Sensing that Allah is seeing me prompts the Muslim to do acts of worship in anticipation and enjoyment. And this sense makes progress and perfection in worship as there is a famous hadith of Jibril in the two Sahih (authentic) books when our prophet was asked about Ihsaan(perfection). He replied: "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you".

Servants of the Most Merciful God,

Realising that Allah knows His creation and sees their actions, prevents the Muslim from sins. He said: “And enough is your Lord to know, (and) watch the sins of His servants"(al-Isra: 17).

He knows and sees the sinner and the one who opposes Allah and His Messenger, but He is All-Knowing, Wise, Compassionate, and He does not hurry to punish.

We ask Allah to forgive our sins and guide us to repent. And we ask Him to confer forgiveness upon us and to hide our sins in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, guide us to do good deeds and to avoid evil acts.

Oh Allah, make faith dearer to us and adorn our hearts with belief in Allah and make unbelief, immorality and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among the rightly-guided people.

And seek forgiveness from Allah. He is most forgiving.

Second sermon

Praise be to Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, the witness, the All-aware, and I bear witness that there is no God but Allah alone, Who has no partner, the Generous, the Grateful, the All-Forgiving, the pardoner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, who informed about the Great Dajjal (Antichrist) in the agreed-upon hadith“He is one-eyed and that your Lord is not one-eyed.”.

May the peace and blessings be upon Muhammad his family and his companions.

Belief in the name of Allah, the All-Seeing, has many great effects:

1- Observing Allah, glorifying Him and obeying His command in secret and in public! "And He is with you wherever you are, and Allah is watchful of what you do".(Al-Hadid: 4.)

2- Feeling delighted and pleased in worshipping Allah in solitude. "And place your trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. Who sees you when you stand (in prayer,). And (sees) your movement among those who prostrate themselves. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (Al-Shu'ara’: 217-220).

3- And among the effects of belief in His name Al- Seeing is the abundance of acts of worship."Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. Certainly, Allah is watchful of what you do".(Al-Baqarah: 110).

4- Among the effects is to get excellence in worshipping and striving to get perfection.

Allah is helpful.

5- Among the effects of belief in the name of Allah, All-Seeing is the fear of Allah from whom nothing is hidden whether it is day or night. It is also from effects that one abandons sin in the hope of reward and for the sake of glorification magnification of Allah And whoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah compensates him better than it.

6- Among the effects is feeling ashamed that Allah sees me if I disobey Him. Allah said about some people."They feel shy before people, but do not feel shy before Allah. He (Allah) is with them when they make plans at night to give a statement He (Allah) does not like. Allah encompasses whatever they do".(An-Nisa: 108).

7- Among the effects of belief in the name of Allah- the Seeing: the repetition of repentance and feeling embarrassment While doing disobedience. Allah said: "And enough is your Lord to know, (and) watch the sins of His servants" (Al-Isra: 17).

8- Among the effects is submission and contentment in painful predestination ."Indeed, your Lord expands sustenance for whomsoever He wills, and constricts (for whomsoever He wills). Surely, He is All-Aware of His servants, All-Seeing" (Al-Isra: 30).

Then send peace and salutations...
