Some 2362 Residents in Qatar Embrace Islam over A Year

Doha - About 2362 residents in Qatar have embraced Islam in the period from April 2013 till the same month this year, 2014 according to statistics Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Centre issued here on Tuesday.

A press release the centre issued here today said that the new Muslims , including 1278 men and 1084 women belong to more than 60 nationality. The centre has presented multilateral education programmes inclduing religious and shariaa courses and social programmes in addition to other Islam introduction programmes which were attended by up to 14,000 persons.

The said centre is going on in its preaching efforts based on its vision aiming at enhancing awareness of Islam as a dogma, conduct and civilization in addition to introducing an awareness campaign about the customs and traditions of the Qatari society.
