Call For Muslim To Work Hard, Increase Knowledge

KANGAR - Muslims must strive hard to increase knowledge in order to become a successful community, said Perlis Menteri Besar Perlis, Datuk Seri Azlan Man .

He said that in the present era of technological advancement, there were many platforms available for the Muslim community to seek knowledge but it all depended on their willingness .

"I want the people of Perlis to nourish a culture of knowledge-seeking attitude in order to develop the state," he said at the closing ceremony of a religious programme at Alwi mosque, in Kangar, Sunday night .

His speech text was read by Perlis Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, Transportation, Regional, Corridor, New Growth Area and New Township Development committee chairman, Datuk Sabry Ahmad .

The three-day programme was organised by the state mufti department in collaboration with Perlis Malay Customs and Islamic Religious Council (MAIPs) in conjunction with the 72nd birthday of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail .

The programme was filled with a variety of activities including the forum perdana programme and dialogue session .

Azlan hoped that the programme would continue in the future, to provide a clearer information to the public about the methodology of the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jammmah practised in Perlis .
