Surat Al An`am (131-140)

{ذَلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ} [الأنعام: 131]

131- Therefore, people shall know that Allah would not have destroyed villages and punished its people for their oppression and polytheism until they know the truth, and Messengers draw their attention, inform, and warn them so as not to have an excuse.

{وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُواْ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ} [الأنعام: 132]

132- Both happy and miserable people of Jinn and humans have ranks and degrees according to their actions and Allah shall punish or reward them as should.

{وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِن بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَاءُ كَمَا أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ} [الأنعام: 133]

133- O Messenger, your lord is Self-Sufficient and does not need the people and their obedience, but they are in dire need to Him. It is He who shows mercy to you by His Favor and Generosity and grants you respite if you disobey. However, He is able to destroy you if you disobey His Command as He did with some people in previous nations and replace them with obeying servants as He brought you forth from the offspring of other people.

{إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لآتٍ وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ} [الأنعام: 134]

134- The reckoning, retribution, and degrees which you have been promised are coming soon without doubt and you cannot fail Allah, for He is able to resurrect you even if you turn into bones.

{قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُواْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدِّارِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ} [الأنعام: 135]

135- Say to those polytheists: Do what you do according to your false way, whereas I am firm on Allah's Religion and Guidance which He revealed to me, and you shall see to whom will be the good final destination and clear victory in the world. The oppressors who aggress the truth and its people and they shall receive their retribution.

{وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ مِمِّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالأَنْعَامِ نَصِيباً فَقَالُواْ هَـذَا لِلّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَـذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلاَ يَصِلُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَآئِهِمْ سَاء مَا يَحْكُمُونَ} [الأنعام: 136]

136- The Polytheists have invented different kinds of ways to distribute parts of crops, fruits, and animal to Allah and others for idols.

So, when the crops, fruits, and meats which were assigned to Allah increased, they would give it to idols, but when the share of idols increased, they did not give it to Allah and said: Allah is no need to it. They misjudged Him because Allah is the one who created these crops to them and created these animals for them, but they took His Share and gave it to idols which is a clear oppression, ignorance, and error.

{وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ} [الأنعام: 137]

137- As devils decorated those actions to polytheists, they also decorated for them the killing of their children for fear of poverty and killing their new born girls for fear of shame in mysterious circumstances. If Allah willed, devils would not do that but it is just an affliction, so O Prophet, leave them and their lies because Allah is Ever-Watchful for them.

{وَقَالُواْ هَـذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لاَّ يَطْعَمُهَا إِلاَّ مَن نّشَاء بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَامٌ لاَّ يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللّهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَاء عَلَيْهِ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ} [الأنعام: 138]

138- Of the ignorance of polytheists in passing a judgment and the interference of their whims is that they said: These are animals and crops which are impermissible for anyone to attack or eat, and assigned them for idols. They said: Except those whom we desire to feed of it. They also said: These are animals that cannot be ridden, and made for them marks by cutting their ears and called them Bahirah, Sa'ibah, Wasilah, and Ham. They do not mention the name of Allah upon slaughtering or riding such animals, but they mention the name of idols. Moreover, they lied and attributed these rulings to Allah and Allah shall punish them with the worst punishment for their lies.

{وَقَالُواْ مَا فِي بُطُونِ هَـذِهِ الأَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِنَا وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَاء سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ إِنَّهُ حِكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ} [الأنعام: 139]

139- Polytheists said about their ways of prohibition: The embryo of animals are lawful for men and prohibited for women, but when it dies, it becomes lawful for men and women. Allah shall punish them for their judgment which they attributed falsely to Allah who is Wise in all He says, legislates, and destines, not as polytheists behave and He is Well-Acquainted with the conditions of His Servants and what suits them.

{قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُواْ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ سَفَهاً بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُواْ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّهُ افْتِرَاء عَلَى اللّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّواْ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَ} [الأنعام: 140]

140- Polytheists have lost their children by killing them because of their error, narrow minds, and ignorance of knowing that Allah is their Provider and the Provider of their children. They also confined themselves when they prohibited things that Allah did not prohibit such as Bahirah, Sa'ibah and the like, however they attributed them falsely to Allah. Indeed, they strayed from the Straight Path and they were not guided.
