The condition of the people on the Day of Resurrection (the Muslims) (7)

The situation of the ones who make portraits

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever claims to have seen a dream which he did not see, will be ordered to make a knot between two barley grains which he will not be able to do; and if somebody listens to the talk of some people who do not like him (to listen) or they run away from him, then Anak be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection; and whoever makes a picture, will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be ordered to put a soul in that picture, which he will not be able to do.”[1] Anak is molten lead –we ask Allah for peace and tranquility.

In the two Sahih `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with them) said: “the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to me when there were qiram with pictures so his face changed colour. He came and grabbed the curtain. She said: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Such people as paint these pictures will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection.”[2] Qiram: thin curtains.

13.The situation of the wailer

Abu Malik Al Asari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “If the wailing woman does not repent before she dies, she will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection wearing a Sirbal of Qatiran and a Dir of Jarb”[3]

Wailing: raising the voice with crying over the dead. Sirbal: clothes. His words: of Qatiran: molten copper. His words: Dir of Jarb. Dir is: clothes. Jarb: a skin ailment that is in camels but will be in man.

14.The situation of the one who throws (lies) at his leader

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “If somebody slanders his slave and the slave is free from what he says, he will be flogged on the Day of Resurrection unless the slave is really as he has described him”[4]
