I always remember her muttering with Dhikr (mentioning Allah) everyday at the dawn break. She always turned over beside me which made me weary at that time why did not she let me sleep?

She coddled me saying: who would offer the Fajr Salah with her grandmother but my sweet baby?!

I remember her while she was smiling at my face every morning to please me saying: May Allah make your day, o smiley face.

I remember her while she was hasting to ablution rolling up her sleeves when she heard the Adhan (call to Prayer) as if she had a date with her lover.

I remember her while she was teaching me Tashahhud (a recitation in the sitting position in the second/ last unit of Prayer) as well as Surat Al Ikhlas which was difficult to memorize during my first years.

I remember that illiterate one who had the title of an expert in love, ending disputes among family members, depicting the policies of reconciliation, the first cook in the house, and the teacher of religion, Fiqh, and asceticism.

I remember that pretty woman who used to implant flowers everywhere, addressing them with her sweet talks and spreading delight all over.

I remember her tenderness which was enough for the entire mankind. May Allah bestow mercy upon the soul of my first teacher and may Allah reward her the best.
