One day a person felt severe sickness and his feet was as if he stepped on a mine and fears to lift his leg for fear that it will blow up in his face.

Every time he feels pain, he would turn his face away refusing to think in the details or the result, but he feels comfort for not knowing the causes of his sickness.

He wishes to have good health, but he knows that his share of sickness cannot be escaped, so he felt contentment.

However, the love of life inside him and certainty in the mercy of Allah pushed him to pursuit the proper means that will not lead to the pain of acquaintance and keep to frequent invocations perhaps Allah will cure him. At that moment, he realized the value of this invocation: "Allahumma Inny As'aluka Al `Afwa wal-`Afiyah fid-Dunya wal-Akhirah [O Allah, I ask Your Pardon and Well-being in the world and in the Hereafter]." and kept repeating it.

He asked himself: Where is your giving if good health is taken away? And what is your value if your giving was taken away?

You should know that good health is incomparable treasure and the sustenance which man cannot obtain or forsake.

Man keeps on searching for the safety button to get out of this battle with minimum losses because the way needs a provision of patience, certainty, and gratitude because it is a great loss to combine between the loss of good health and the loss of faith. The sick man woke up from his comma repeating: "Allahumma Inny As'aluka Al `Afwa wal-`Afiyah fid-Dunya wal-Akhirah [O Allah, I ask Your Pardon and Well-being in the world and in the Hereafter]." and "And We send down of the Qur'ân that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss." [Surat Al Isra': 82].
