Makkah to host Islamic Solidarity Conference in August

Jeddah – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz has called for holding an Extraordinary Islamic Solidarity Conference in Makkah next month.

This was disclosed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

“Based on King Abdullah’ keenness on serving Islam and Muslims and their unity, especially at this delicate time when the Islamic nation faces risks of possible fragmentation and discord, and it needs unity, he has called for holding the Extraordinary Conference of Islamic Solidarity in Makkah on August 14 -15 (Ramadan 26 and 27). He prayed to Allah that this conference will achieve the aspirations of the Islamic nation for the service of Islam and Muslims, as well as their unity.
